As Charleston's premier steakhouse, and member of the Great Steak Houses of North America, our menu is one of the few in the country that features 100% USDA Prime Beef. Located at the luxurious Market Pavilion Hotel in the heart of historic Charleston, we offer a dining experience like no other. All of our beef selections, including the filet mignon, are hand-selected and wet-aged 42 -50 days to ensure tender texture and unsurpassed flavor.

At Grill 225 we place a great deal of emphasis on seafood harvested from both local and International waters. Using only premium ingredients such as local sustainable seafood as well as exclusive premium domestic and international offerings.

Private Dining for up to 110 guests for indoor events.
Private gatherings for rooftop cocktail receptions and events up to 275 guests.

Dress Code:
For Men, smart business attire. Jackets are requested, but not required. Flip flops, T-Shirts, non collar shirts and baseball caps are not permitted.

Disappointed with our seating to start. Had a very early reservation. Tables were completely empty and they stuck us in a tight corner near the Hotel’s busy hallway. Asked to move and said they could not accommodate. The steak my husband ordered was just ok. Hall’s Chop house is much better.

Beautiful restaurant. Service was very good. For the price, the food should be excellent. Steak was not cooked to specification, neither were the lamb chops. Scallops, and shrimp and grits were over salted. We expected better

I was very disappointed in our visit to Grill 225. First, we arrived ahead of the rest of our party and were told that we could not be seated until everyone arrived; however, another group came in after us where others joined them while we were still waiting. Our waiter came and took our drink order and disappeared for 30 minutes. I ordered the crab cakes which ended up being tasteless. When I let the waiter know, he thanked me for my feedback. I will not go back again

Exceptional in every way!! Jimmy Goings is exceptional and made this dinner special in every way. Gerald made the most amazing bananas Foster table-side. The entire meal was perfect and we can’t wait to return.

I loved the meal and our interaction with J.B. Every food item was perfect, my Old Fashioned was fantastic, the ambiance was terrific, and the service was expertly done (thank you, J.B.).

I've come here several times over the past months.... I stand at the check in station...multiple employees walk buy... never greet us... never tell us someone will be there shortly... we just stand there awkwardly waiting... the greeter just stands at the kitchen talking ...watching us... this has happened EVERY time... The bartender is not the most pleasant individual... yes... same one... 4 times The valets are not very interactive ... comes off as unpleasant Our server was great The food was very good We are foodies and go to all the downtown restaurants... you just might want to up your game a little... this is the south ... we like pleasant atmospheres
