On an impromptu date night, my fiancé and I headed to the Improv in Brea, and I suggested trying the new restaurant, Griffins. We made reservations and were promptly seated on the bar side, where we eagerly explored the enticing menu. Our server, Chris, was both attentive and personable, making us feel right at home. The menu offered a variety of incredible options, and we decided on the Hamachi Crudo, Beets and Carrots, and Chorizo Sausage. Each dish was a delight, showcasing fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The drinks were equally impressive. I particularly enjoyed "The Crown," a refreshing mix of gin, lavender, and cucumber that cleverly nods to the Netflix series. A lovely touch was the owner stopping by to share his story, including how his mother personally crafted each table for the grand opening. It added a warm, personal touch to the evening. For anyone seeking a unique dining experience, Griffins is the perfect choice. The romantic industrial decor strikes a balance between casual and elegant, making it an ideal spot for a night out with your special someone. Highly recommend!

Came to Griffins for a date night, we ordered the cowboy ribeye, charred Caesar salad and esquites. The food was 8/10, everything was very good except unfortunately I was not a fan of the Chimichurri on the steak, it was not authentic chimichurri and had a strange flavor I couldn’t figure out and too much acidity almost like it was going rancid maybe? Next time I’d get the chimichurri on the side. The service was not great, the bartender was our server so he was very busy at the bar and forgot about us. I told him I would just have water and he still brought out soda, we received our food and he never checked up on us to make sure we were ok. We also were there for a birthday and apparently no one told him. We wanted dessert to celebrate and he came over with the check and never offered us dessert. We had to ask another server and we order the blackberry cake which was just ok. I would definitely go back for the Caesar salad and esquites!

Sarah, our server was the best! She was so attentive and answered all our concerns and questions about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the himachi as appetizer and it awakened our taste buds. Then I had the steak hanger with eggplant and it was so tender and tastefully done. Our dessert was blackberry cake with ice cream. It seems prepared by a professional chef. And true enough, the baker had Michelin training. We will come back for more! Highly recommended!

Large portion for family style food. Empty when we went was good service. Ambience nice decor just a little too dark. Food a little over priced and a little salty on meatball and Brussels sprouts. Milanese pork chop huge ontop of a bed of greens no dressing for salad . Gnocchi flavorful and good aldente firmness. Large wine selection, has beers, mixed drinks. Limited mixed drinks . Good food and quick service.

Service was top-notch! Exceptional and attentive. They make you feel valuable as a customer. Only open 45 days when we made reservations. Simple and clean menu. Elevated by the Chef. The wine list will improve with time. DJ music on Friday and Saturday nights makes for a better vibe. Would definitely go back to try all the other menu options.

Dinner at Griffin’s was amazing! The drinks were delicious and food was really really good! Everything we ordered was amazing! Highly recommended!!!

Thus was my third time at Griffin’s. I experienced the same great staff and wonderful food. Wait staff was attentive, but not intrusive. I will definitely return.
