The first breakfast brunch venue in Amsterdam finally makes it to Scotland!

ALL DAY Breakfast / Brunch and Lunch menu. Vegan - Vegetarian and Gluten Free dishes and options. Fully licenced and located in the centre of town just off George Street and 5 minutes from Princes Street and the Station.

Dutch inspired and owned.

Homemade drinks and all food prepared fresh daily.

We pride ourselves on sourcing top quality local ingredients and make our products fresh on the premises as much as we can. And of course, we also brought our Dutch roots with us as well. You’ll find it on the menu and in the restaurant itself. Fancy some traditional Dutch ‘appeltaart’ (apple pie)?

Really lovely place, although a little snug. Friendly staff and good service. The food was delish. Would recommend!

Food delicious and good menu choice. Disappointed with staff attitude when I arrived with my friend and her baby. They did not appear to welcome baby’s and despite moving our table and seeing mum trying to quieten her baby had 3 different waitresses ask for order in the space of 5 minutes. Would recommend not baby friendly

We love having babies at Greenwoods, My self and our Director are both currently pregnant so babies is all we can talk about! As it states in our booking terms and conditions we do require you to let us know if you have a baby joining you so we can make sure to give you a table with the most room that is comfortable for you, your baby and still allows our team to be able to get past. unbelievably helpful and accommodating! they brought bananas for my one year old niece, which she totally loved. thanks for a great experience!!

Lovely waitress and great food, as always. We were however very tightly packed in, so I was conscious if my chair not hitting the table behind and same for my partner on the other side. It felt like we were on a conveyor belt so had to eat and go rather than enjoy the food at our own pace. Didn’t feel it was worth the money

Thank you so much for your review, so happy to hear how much you loved our team and our tasty food! We are a small restaurant that is styled on our other restaurants over in the Netherlands. On the day that you visited it was a Rugby day and First weekend of the Christmas Markets making us even more busy than usual, am I very sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy how fast paced and busy we are, I understand that this style isn't for everyone but this is something that as a team we have worked very hard to achieve. Probably the best breakfast I had in Edinburgh. The haggis was amazing. Eggs scrambled and cooked perfectly. Service was attentive. Must visit.

This is a small business that is usually quite busy but even then they manage to give the best service and the most delicious food but unfortunately that wasn't the case this time, food was cold already when just delivered to the table and service was extremely poor, is been my favourite place for years but after yesterday events I frankly don't think we will be coming back.

if I have to complain about anything it was the booking on line seemed rather complicated if your not on open table and to log on to book took me an hour to do. For booking an hour slot , which didn’t seem quite long enough was my only complaint and felt I had to rush my experience there as had to be conscious of the time. Could you not at least give an hour and 30mins for a brunch as it would have been more relaxed , it is not cheap but loved so far all the food and it was excellent cooking and also was so accommodating for an unusual diet that I’m having to be on just now .. THANK YOU .. all the staff were LOVELY and very helpful .

5 stars all round! From the welcome as you stepped in to the goodbye as we left! The food exceeded my expectations. The service was friendly and welcoming. Good value for money. I will be sure to recommend to my friends. Can’t wait to come back and work my way through the menu!
