Experience the freshest family favorites in Uptown Gig Harbor at the Greenhouse restaurant. This casual, family-friendly eatery features seasonal menus, bursting with local produce, seafood and spirits. Helmed by renowned chef Erik Smith, each dish is created to order, using responsibly, locally sourced ingredients, artfully prepared and plated in an elegant, inviting ambience.

Greenhouse features full lunch and dinner menus, as well as appetizers, small and large bites and decadent desserts that change daily. It also offers a special Twilight Menu, with three-course meals ranging from light to hearty fare, and a Happy Hour menu that is featured in the bar. The extensive wine and beer list also changes daily, spotlighting local microbreweries and wineries, as well as perennial favorites that pair perfectly with the menu options. Greenhouse is open for lunch and dinner; information about private bookings for parties, meetings, receptions and corporate events is available on request.

Most times this is a great experience. This time it underwhelmed. Maybe they should reconsider bar reservations because as a regular visitor it is odd to be told a large group has reserved 10 spots 2-3 hours from the time we arrived. Why??? It made for an awkward start. Not the high standard of service and food prep we’ve come to love from Green House today.

We we thrilled to go to the Green.House for our anniversary. We had never been there and it will now be our go-to restaurant. The food was amazing. The ahi and halibut was cooked to perfection and the veggie and sauce pairings were perfect for the dish. The service was also amazing. Attentive, knowledgable and friendly server. We will be back and bring family and friends.

My friend and I ordered one of your halibut choices tonight -- our meals were expertly cooked and beautifully plated, and Hannah was very attentive and pleasant. The restaurant is beautiful and clean and you could tell everyone else was enjoying their dining experience as well. I have eaten at The Greenhouse many times, tried different things and have never had a bad meal. This restaurant is first on my list of favorite places to eat!

I wanted a lovely birthday dinner for my wife, also attended by our granddaughter. Green House came through. Our server, Cathy, was attentive and a delight. The meal was delicious start to finish and - at $200 before tip and including drinks - considering the quality, reasonably priced. My wife had a delicious and properly grilled steak, the young'un loved her serving of cod and for the first time there I had the entree serving of salad, topped with salmon. Excellent! The women enjoyed their dessert of bread pudding. Believing "good bread pudding" is an oxymoron, I just enjoyed watching them. My wife's dessert came with a wee birthday candle in it - a thoughtful touch. We've been to Green House a bunch of times, and whether special occasion or just a fun meal out it's always a joy.

I dined at the outside patio, so a lot of noise from kids screaming or some weirdo with a strange modification to their truck that they have to show off. Now, the food... for a medium heat meal, the lamb was over done. But, the flavor of the meat compensated nicely. The mashed potatoes were perfect as the bed for the lamb. The asparagus is asparagus... it's a delicious, but lazy vegetable. The salad: spinach, beets, and goat cheese salad This exactly what should come out of the kitchen. Nicely prepared, the presentation made the salad appealing. The candied walnuts were delicious! Dessert: I opted for the Apple Pie bread pudding, a la mode. This is a risky choice, because I have not had a good bread pudding. Your bread pudding changed that. It was delicious, the texture was right, the flavors paired wonderfully to each other. The old fashioned was very good and the merlot was a perfect pairing with the lamb. Now, the important part... welcoming the customer. I have felt this was the one part of The Greenhouse where they failed. The hostess and the wait staff were rude and unwelcoming. It is the very reason I made no effort to dine at the restaurant. Congratulations, you got rid of the garbage and you have absolute gems working for you. The were some of the most welcoming and nicest people.
