In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

    The burger was excellent. My crab sandwich was disappointing - not as much filling as expected and the sandwich was a bit dry as a result.

    We love it at greendales food is amazing every time. For me it’s just the service they never do check backs and once you have finish with your food and empty plates know on comes to clear them. We always have to asked for a desert menu as know one has checked in on us. They always have plenty of staff on but always walk pasted.

    I would have given more stars for service had our plates been not been removed whilst one of our party was still eating!!! Not acceptable - prior to that it was very good

    Was shown to a table in an additional room which was freezing cold. Asked the waitress if someone could put the heater on. She said she didn't know how to do it. I asked if she could ask someone else then. Noone came and I ate my breakfast in my coat to keep warm. When paying we were asked about how it was and said food lovely but it was very cold. Was told there is no heating in that room. I advised the heater on the wall could be switched on but had a timer come up. She apologised it was cold but it was clear noone was going to do anything about it .

    The staff were polite and courteous but that is about all that I can say that was good. We had to ask the waiter if we could order food. The food was very expensive. The children's food didn't come with a vegetable or side, only meat and carbs. For the adults food we ordered the roast chicken and a burger. The burger was bland and boring even after adding bacon and cheese at extra cost. The chicken itself was fine but it came with a weird stuffing that had the texture of raw minced pork and tested weird. It also only came with a sprinkling of kale and a couple of tiny over cooked potatoes which were not the stack of finely sliced potatoes described by the waiter. Over all very disappointing and poor quality. Won't be going back.

    Just excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Food great as well as the service. Could not fault it.
