In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

Shown to table promptly by a smiling member of staff.We had booked and asked for a table where my walking aid would not inconvenience other diners. Order taken fairly promptly and once again, member of staff was very efficient and informative. All food was delicious but my fish special was a bit overpowered by an excess of olives and pesto, I love both but even I couldńt eat them all.Hiwever I just put excess to one side and demolished the rest and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Drinks were good as well, Greend´ale and Tropical smoothie. Great treat for lunch.

Table ready on time, highchair provided as requested. Order taken promptly, had to ask for children’s menu, then had to ask for crayons separately as not given with children’s menu. Staff pleasant and friendly. Cold food brought out quite a while before hot food. All lovely but had to ask for children’s cutlery as not provided with children’s meal.

Hi I had the Cheesy Chips and came home with upset stomach also not long ago I had the Omelette which also upset my stomach.. Not sure if you have new/different Chefs on or what the the Food is Cooked in but I will be giving you a Wide Berth for a While?

Booking really good, person that showed us to our table did not engage with us at all, just led us to our table and almost just threw the menus on the table, clearly didn’t like her job, Drinks orders taken very quickly but drinks didn’t arrive until 20 min later, we didn’t actually receive any food for 35 min . We were situated by a function room where there was a children’s party being held , young children running up and down between the tables and a lot of noise coming from the room. Food was excellent and serving staff were very pleasant and all in all good value .

Nice venue, it was busy. Three different waiting staff attempted to take our orders, so perhaps a little disorganised. Sausages were a bit overdone. Apparently the freezer broken down earlier in the evening & they were a chef & a member of staff down, which appeared to be their excuse, but that shouldn’t affect the meal that’s served to customers. A lack of vegetables with the meal, just a few peas. We asked for a glass of water but never got it. Cakes looked lovely, but sadly I didn’t have room, so will need a return visit at some point.

This was the second time I had eaten here and the first time in the restaurant. Our table was under the air con so it was a bit on the chilly side. Food and service very good. Will definitely eat here again. Good job to book though.
