In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

Excellent burger with cheese and bacon in a lightly toasted brioche bun, served with great ‘chippy’ chips, the salad had wilted a bit but that sometimes can’t be helped due to the rest being hot! A good decaf tea, but there are better/ fuller flavoured decafs available without great expense. The cakes at Greendale used to be these amazing handmade, soft/ fluffy sponge, rustic beauties, now they appear to be bought in…the sponge is disappointingly dense/ not fluffy n soft like a great sponge should be. It’s a shame you appear to have dropped some quality for quantity.

Lovely Brill & Mussels, Fish with chips was good, chips needed more crisping! Enjoyed our early evening meal but felt the music was too loud!

Took our visitors there for breeakfast. Couldn’t have the onelette, reason given one chef down!!!! Portion of scrambled egg very very small and I portion of black pudding was very expensive. Overall they are not flexible, okay if stick exactly to the menu.

Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Food was really nice, with fresh produce, well cooked. Kids Sunday Roast is more like a small Adult meal, didn’t think my 3yr old would even make a dent in it… but he did!

The beef was good and the veges. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy being a Sunday. Unfortunately, the wasps at the end by the play park and the noise from the birthday party detracted somewhat from our enjoyment. However we asked if we could be moved and Elliot was very amenable and moved us up to a quieter table which was great!!

We sat outside with the dog - a lovely deck separated from the hustle and bustle of the shop. Lovely food, good portion size (no one went hungry!) and great service.
