Located at 9 Kensington Square, London, a short stroll from Hyde Park, Grato is a chic Italian restaurant. With a focus on regional cuisine and the freshest ingredients, every dish is imbued with culture. Our handmade pasta is crafted with love in our very own kitchen; our wines are sourced from artisan vineyards. Our evolving menus reflect the seasons and celebrate Italy’s culinary wonders.
Dine on the ground floor overlooking one of London's oldest garden squares or you can dine alfresco facing the lush square. At the lower level is another dining room reminiscent of an Italian wine grotto - the perfect space for a celebration.

We accept all credit cards (no AMEX) & cash.Our outdoor tables are timed for 1.5hr to allow other guests to enjoy al fresco. We cannot always guarantee a seat of your choice. Thank you

Small spot, tucked away in a nice neighborhood with very good food. Friendly staff, fast service. Excellent wine. Little gem.

Lovely family-owned restaurant near Kensington High Street. Attentive friendly service. Excellent Burrata and pumpkin ravioli (homemade of course). Prices reasonable for this part of London.

A resident of Italy, sitting at the adjoining table, commented that Grato was the best Italian restaurant in London. I expect she is correct. Wonderful food and service. Very convenient location - the High Street Kensington tube station (District and Circle Lines) is about a block away.

The food was amazing, my husband & I got both of the specials. The tiramisu was drool worthy; it was simply the best tiramisu I have ever had. The location was quaint, as well as intimate. The server was helpful with recommendations. I would definitely book a reservation, which we did, as it got very busy; however, the staff was super accommodating & thoughtful to guests that didn’t have a reservation.
