Delightful! Absolutely perfect with a connection to the patio, loaded with olive trees, fire pits, really good live music, and great service! This time we had the halibut tacos and the tuna poke with rice chips! Served expertly by Josie…of course!

This is my second visit to Grapefruit Basil. (They really need a new name!). First, there wss no valet parking! I had on “valet heels” and my friend just had foot surgery. I dropped her off at the entrance and I parked in a very dark deserted parking lot and had a long walk back to the entrance. In the restaurant, the outside patio is beautiful, but we chose to sit inside as they dont have warmers outside. Inside decor is nice but a little sparse. Service was wonderful. Our cocktails were delicious, and the food was very good. I had a crab cake for apps…dont miss it! I comes with a side salad and would make a nice light lunch on its own. We both had the flank steak as a main course. Very flavorful. It was served on very artsy plates that made it impossible to keep your cutlery from sliding off the plate. My knife landed in my lap twice, and it happened once to my friend! No, we each only had the ONE cocktail! Ha. So there it is…the good and the bad. I don’t think I’ll be back for dinner. Maybe I’ll try lunch on the patio.

This us one if my favorite desert settings however there was a large wedding party event which contributed to more background noise than usual - wish they could be more separation for events..... Server was a little to entertaining - A for effort but not necessarily fond of the intrusion vs just good service.
