With its warm, inviting and modern design, Granite City Food & Brewery’s expansive interior features a spacious and comfortable dining room, four-sided modern, full-service bar and three dining areas, as well as an outdoor patio. The on-site brewery, with award-winning hand crafted micro-brews, is visible from the main dining and bar areas. The restaurant also showcases an open kitchen featuring chef developed, handcrafted made-from-scratch cuisine, including innovative signature entrees, flatbreads and more.

Granite City Food & Brewery’s signature brews, which are made on-site, include The Duke (Pale Ale), The Bennie (Bock), The Northern (American Style Light Lager) and our Flavored Hard Seltzer. Breakfast buffet was amazing as always. We were seated in the bar area and our server was also bartending so we were a bit neglected and forgot about. I recommend sitting in the main dining area for a better buffet experience

We booked a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. They did not have their menu that day, it was just the Thanksgiving buffet. We were really looking forward to it! However when we got up to the buffet, we were informed that they had run out of turkey and stuffing. They said we were welcome to any of the other food however most of it was cold, the gravy was congealed and it was just not appetizing. Since they didn't have the turkey and the stuffing and some other things available, they allowed us to order off the menu. We ordered a spinach avocado dip which was more oil than anything else. We were literally scooping the oil out with a spoon. We ordered a chicken Alfredo, the Alfredo was gloppy and had no taste to it. We also ordered an avocado grilled cheese sandwich which lacked seasoning and the bread was burnt. By this time we were so fed up, we didn't eat much. They didn't charge us for the meal which was nice however the food off the menu was subpar. The staff are great, but the food and the disappointment in running out of turkey overshadowed that.

This was a Thanksgiving specific buffet, but we do have brunch every Sunday that has an omelet station and breakfast items. This was our first visit to GCFB, and most likely the last. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. We ordered the fish tacos, the barbecue chicken flatbread, and the Bock & Cheese pasta dish. The portions were all a decent size. The most disappointing was the minimal service. The servers were polite and friendly, but could have been more attentive. The restaurant was not busy at all, and yet nobody offered drink refills and we waited a long time for the bill. We had to flag someone down when needed. I’m guessing that because it’s a brewery the main reason that one would choose this restaurant is to experience all the unique varieties of beer. We were not there for that reason though, so perhaps not the best choice in a restaurant for us non beer drinkers. If you like beer then I’m guessing you might like it!

Food was very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Only issue was that the juice for the endless mimosas was warm, needed to be chilled or have a way for guests to keep cold at the table.
