July 5 5pm-8pm Free Entertainment and Community Engagement, come see our vendor market! Fun for the whole family! Amber was born in the NWT to artist parents Maureen Walton and Michael Amar. During her formative years as a cellist she lived in Holland, and studied in Italy and Germany. Later, she earned her BA at the UofT, and her MA from DePaul University, in cello performance. Performing on a commissioned cello made by David Wiebe, Amber’s career has included touring Canada, Europe and China with various symphonies and ensembles. Her many collaborations include artists and ensembles such as KYGO, SYML, Shawn Mendes, Leif Vollebekk, and Classic Albums Live. When not performing, Amber teaches cello to adults and children.

July 12, 5pm-8pm - Feel Good with Hannah Burgé Band - Jazz Hannah Burgé’s debut album, Green River Sessions (2014), charted on US College Radio, & received sustained airplay on more than 300 stations. She headlined the Polanco International Jazz Festival in México City with her band in 2016, & performed as a soloist at the National Library of Congress in Washington. She has played with Samba Squad, Njacko Backo and Kalimba Kalimba, and with NYC Brazilian music expert, Hendrik Meurkens. In summer 2021, Hannah collaborated with Juno-award winning artist, Jocelyn Gould, on several music tracks released in 2022. She is a professor at Humber College in Toronto, and a distinguished scholar who served as a Research Fellow at Queen’s University.
