Grandview Saloon is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and offers a beautiful view of the city from Mt. Washington. Great location, great views - beyond a doubt - food was good - but expensive. Seamless table reservation system - did get the table next to the window that I requested. Excellent service even on a busy night. It was louder than I expected, sometimes difficult to hear our conversation. (It was a moderately busy night - 7pm on a Friday). We will return when the weather is nicer to be able to sit outside on the patio.

Showed up with a reservation and was told they’d “see what bar seating was available.” I had requested a window table and the restaurant was half full. Refused to serve an ID that expired 2 weeks ago (well over 21). Charcuterie board looked like it was thrown together by a 3 year old. Rude host and server. Got the check and left as fast as possible. Went up the street to Monterrey bay where we had a fantastic experience. Don’t waste your time or money here. Worst restaurant on Mt. Washington by far. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

Decent meal. I wish we knew ahead of time that kids are not allowed to sit on the outdoor patio. Large portions but a bit mid. Beautiful view, though.

1st steak overcooked 2nd cold in the middle. The manager actually brought the steaks out we sent back to convince us they were the correct temperature. She insulted our intelligence, she should not be in a management role. Out waiter was great, very attentive.

We both got the most expensive steak and there was no flavor to them, they were not cooked to what we said we liked, and the mashed potatoes had a slimy texture. Our waiter didn't come back often there was a lady working a table next to us and she was so sweet and helped take care of us. The manager did take some off the steak but we also didn't eat it. Was over priced for what we got.

The service was exceptional. My 4 year old son asked for "toast, strawberries, and bacon" during dinner. The waiter said "let me see what I can do" and came back with all 3! He was very attentive and friendly. The food overall was ok, nothing spectacular. But in my opinion, the service and view made it all worth it.

We sat outside on the balcony for brunch and the food was delicious as well as the drinks! Our server was also the bartender and he was great and very attentive! The lantern flies are out and everywhere which isn’t the restaurant’s fault but just a warning if you choose to sit outside!
