They had 2 wedding parties going while we were there. The wait staff was very attentive but the kitchen was very slow getting our food out. Not sure if they were overwhelmed or what.

Great menu, fresh food and good service. Portions were an appropriate size ( not too big). I had the restaurant week 3 course meal which was excellent value.

High price food not matched with high end service. Plates should not be removed from some guests until all are finished with that course. (This should be common knowledge for a restaurant trying to be what they claim to be.) Server should be more attentive to guests. Gruet is from New Mexico, not California. Please update menu for accuracy. Temperature in restaurant was not comfortable. Needs to be cooler. (2) Manhattans ordered, one considerably less filled than other (both served up.) A disappointing experience.

Perfect evening and dinner! Jill H provided outstanding service making us feel so welcome during our first visit to the Granddam. The Lexington restaurant week menu was a great and delicious sampler of the Creole deviled eggs, smoked pork entree and pecan coconut cake! The whole atmosphere and decor was warm, welcoming and beautiful! We will be back!

The chef has got it goin’ on!! Smoked pork …cooked 5 hours with a corn miso cream atop sugar snap peas & ky sweet corn. Best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life! Until they served dessert:) Go to this restaurant and experience Chef Paula’s Latin twist on local favorites. Waitstaff is smart - entertaining and knowledgeable. Drinks in downstairs bar preceded dinner then we finished the night off upstairs at Lost Palm overlooking distillery district. The Manchester Hotel is happening spot!

The food was marginal. I arrived hungry and left unsatisfied. Dessert was especially bad. The service was very good.

Food was awesome. They were very gracious and accommodated me with some dietary restrictions I had. Will definitely be back.

Party of 8 for birthday. Very accommodating. The waiter was very attentive,and answered questions about menus but not hovering. Absolutely fabulous meal in every way appetizers,drinks and entrees. Decadent play of flavors with each course. Granddam is a wonderful addition to Lexington fine dining. Will be back for sure.

Our server was amazing and food was delicious. The front desk attendant, Emma, was incredibly helpful and informative. We will be back!

The service was outstanding and the food very good. I had the Cornish hen with a pea risotto which was excellent. We ordered the seasonal coconut/praline cake which was not very good. However, our server explained it was gluten and dairy free, which was not mentioned on the menu or in the description. The restaurant was at capacity and EXTREMELY loud. My husband across the table was having a hard time hearing me. All in all, it was a great experience! I would recommend this restaurant to a friend if they were in the Lexington area.
