Our family of four dined here on Saturday night and had a wonderful dinner. We started with three italian drinks and an italian liquor that was a substitute that the bar recommended for Gran Marnier. We shared three apps. There was a grilled octopus, tender with the right amount of char. Fried artichokes that popped with lemon and a fritto misto with perfectly fried shrimp and calamari. For our main courses, we had Zuppa De Pesce, brimming with assorted seafoods, carbonara, and a Sunday sauce with fusilli pasta. Although the meats that came with the Sunday sauce were delicious, the true standout was the homemade pasta. We ended our meals with a creme brulee and two scoops of gelato, one with imported italian cherries, the other with imported italian chocolate. A fitting end to our evening. Our server was friendly, polite and unobtrusive, as well as the other waitstaff. Can't wait to return!

We come into Philly from out of town and Del’Aquila does not disappoint. Authentic and top class Italian pasta, panini, and gelato. Molto buono. Will return next time we are in Philly 100%.

Food is fabulous. Service is excellent. It’s a bit noisy for me but others may feel it’s energetic. Order the pear salad. Positively delicious. All pasta dishes are flavorful and well prepared. I actually ordered the salmon tonight and it was extraordinary

We are frequent travelers and lived in Rome for a while last year so we were really hoping to love this authentic Abruzzo restaurant. The service was outstanding-- real European-style service with attention to detail and an attitude of caring, but several other things were not as great as we'd hoped. We made a reservation far in advance and asked for a nice table to celebrate a birthday. We were seated at the downstairs front table under bright lights on a very busy night when crowds of people were coming in and walking by right next to the table. When we asked to be seated upstairs, we were told that a private party was being held. We were eventually seated at a table in the rear of the downstairs, where it was a bit quieter but still overly bright and a little shabby, like a diner ambience. The food was mostly good, though uneven in some places. The fritto misto was delightful, bruschetta soggy, seafood rolatini and branzino were fine. Overall, I doubt we'll make a point to return.

I had an awesome experience. I felt like I was in Italy. lots of authentic Italian dishes on the menu. didn’t know what to choose, but thank God I had a great waiter (service was great) who helped me make my choices. They were all fantastic from the appetizer all the way to one of the best gelato’s I’ve ever had. (Including gelato I actually had in Italy.) coffee was so good. I ended up buying a package downstairs and their shop. I’d recommend highly and I can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful way to celebrate my sons 28th birthday. Delicious food, excellent service and a perfect birthday serenade by the staff over the best gelato short of Rome!

We ear here each time we come to Philadelphia. It’s one of the city’s best Italian restaurants and strikes the perfect balance between elegant and informal. Make reservations in advance, as it has a large and loyal following.
