Grain & Cane - Bar & Table is your home for hospitality in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. An homage to family nostalgia, our neighborhood table is built on the Connell legacy, as leading American rice and sugar cane purveyors and community idealists. Our menu features dishes that nod to family tradition, regional flare, and vibrant flavors, such as seasonal cocktails, our famous Grover Double Burger and Shrimp Tostada. Strong roots and dynamic character serve as the blueprint for a thoughtful selection of craft beers, wine, and cocktails. Vintage art and antique photographs from past Connell generations set a backdrop for a convivial atmosphere – a restaurant and bar ideal for a range of experiences, from casual occasions to magnetic celebrations. Food was excellent but what really made the night was the service. Phil was our server and he was outstanding. From his attentiveness to his recommendations we could not have asked for a better experience. In addition, I accidentally knocked over my drink and broke the glass and not only did Phil and the staff quickly come over to clean it up, so did the manager Nick and they all apologized to me for the incident! Nick was incredibly nice and comp'd a dessert for the table for our inconvenience!!! What you look for in a restaurant is quality of food, ambience and friendliness of staff and Grain and Cane certainly meets all the criteria.

Everything was great as always! We ate outside and when it was getting a little cooler the restaurant was able to close off the area which was great

I chose the ricotta raviolini it was underwhelming, be ready for some tough corn. The Malbec met specifications for it’s price point.

Great space with an outdoor area that is covered. And...they have a designated fryer so gluten free people can eat french fries and they are really good!

Food was good but way more expensive than peer restaurants. Service was cold and like they were doing us a favor rather than warm and inviting.

Everything was lovely. We were seated immediately, our server was friendly and very efficient. The food choices were great. Our shared appetizer was delicious and we had time to enjoy it. Our dinners were an aromatic, picturesque, and truly flavorful experience. Grain and Cane never disappoints.

Delightful surprise! Loved the pepperoni honey pizza. The vegetable curry was outstanding and we shared the grilled chocolate cake, berry cobbler and toffee bread pudding- truly amazing. Great obience and serve too.
