My only complaint was the $85 service fee that was for the staff minus the server. I left an additional $80 for the server. $165 for tip is ridiculous for a $400 dinner. Otherwise, everything was outstanding.

The restaurant and staff were both amazing. A little disappointed in some of the food. Chicken was a bit dry and the filet steaks for the kids were just a bit overdone. We requested medium rare and it was just a touch overdone.

CONS #1. I went to the restroom 2x. Once when I arrived downstairs and once when I left upstairs. In both cases the restroom was not in good order and in particular the two stall restrooms were missing the essential of toilet paper. #2 There was a 20% service charge on my bill for a party of three. No one explained this service charge to me and after spending $600, I was left confused on what/if to tip and likely left WAY more than what was required The servers should explain the fee. #3 My server did not offer to put in our drink order when he first came by, and by the second time he came by, I ordered a cocktail but then it came at the exact same time as the prefixed w wine pairing selection. PROS #1 The food was very good, as expected..especially the truffle mashed potatoes. #2 Our server was genuinely nice and very well informed about the menu and ingredients. He was very likable, attentive and kind; but his timing could have been better. In short I've had comparable experiences for way less $$.

This was my second time at this location. The first time I had the Caesar salad, wellington and sticky toffee pudding. The second time all I got differently was the butternut squash soup instead of the salad. Food is fantastic! My one complaint would be my beef wellington from this time was a lot smaller this time and a bit more medium than medium rare. Staff is great and very polite. I'd go back again if I was in the area again.

Our waiter was fantastic. The food was amazing with the exception of the potatoes gratin, which were cold and kind of plastic. Everything else was sublime.

Drove to dc just for the restaurant. It was amazing everything was perfect, I will be back for more!!!

Mostly good experience but the Beef Wellington was raw in the middle (I got the 12 oz special). The reason I still put it as 5 stars is because of the manager Jeff. He checked on us about 3 times and was very accommodating and understanding.

My first experience was amazing so I had to bring my best friend from childhood (Ohio) to see what I mean. The service was great however the food was completely opposite of what I had the last time I was there. Subpar and had to return the food. Gordon you need to do a check up!

Server should have disclosed the pricing on the side dishes that were not on the menu. However, food ambiance and service were outstanding.
