Dinner was absolutely amazing!! Everything was delicious!!! My only complaint was I mentioned twice that we were celebrating a birthday. We watched a couple of others around us get what appeared to be birthday cake and a candle and unfortunately we did not for some reason. Not sure what happened but after mentioning what we were celebrating twice I didn’t feel like bringing it up again. But it would’ve been nice to get what we saw others getting. Otherwise, I will be back for the amazing food!!

Our waiter, August, was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations! Food was great, service was quick. Great experience!

Our server really did a poor job. She was nice, but barely did anything except take our order. Did not even check on us, pick up plates, or refill our glasses. There was a guy nearby that ended up doing everything for us and he was phenomenal, I think his name was Alikua. Appetizers were 10/10, but the main meals were not very good 5.5/10. It is due to Alikua alone that I will come back again. He helped us with everything and ensured my brother got his steak done perfectly for him, that guy was amazing! I was pretty disappointed especially since they were not that busy when we sat down and it was for a birthday.

Delicious lunch in the beautiful and stylish Hell’s Kitchen at DC’s waterfront. From the moment we entered the front door, to the service received during our lunch, and even as we were leaving, all staff members were pleasant and engaging. The lobster risotto was A+ and I thoroughly enjoyed. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and requested to have the mayo on the side, but the mayo was lathered on the sandwich and he had to scrape some off. There was lots of mayo, more than he would’ve liked. Overall though, he did enjoy his sandwich. Very clean and private bathrooms were appreciated and the view from our table, overlooking the Potomac, was lovely. I do recommend for couples and large groups, but not so much for children. Thanks, HK, for a lovely afternoon.

I was looking very forward to this visit as it was for my birthday. We were greeted very well, staff attentive and we got the table we wanted. But the some of the staff was a little difficult to understand. I liked the food, but the lunch express was more expensive than if taken with the a la carte menue. The beef wellington was the same price as the a la carte option but only half the portion. No mention of my birthday what so ever. A little disappointed. But the food is delicious.

I really wanted to love this place. I respect Gordon’s passion so much however he would have been so disappointed if he witnessed everything we did. Made a reservation for 8:30 pm we were not seated until about 9:20 pm. I do understand that things do happen however the hostess confirmed that they were overbooked. Then to overhear the hostess say, “We are so overpacked, no one is going to receive good service tonight.” It blows my mind. Our waitress seemed as if she was irritated to assist in our experience. No common courtesy. Not saying excuse me to stick a bottle of water between us or silverware. Appetizers being through right in front of us was intense as well. We literally had to watch out for her to ensure that we didn’t knock something down by mistake but she refused to let us know she was behind us. Food was really good but they missed up our orders. At this point it was close to 11 pm so it wasn’t worth sending back as we were STARVING! They did give us two extra Mac and cheese plates to make up for the delay but we had no clue it was comp until we were getting ready to go. No one touched it because we didn’t want to be charged for it. I ended up speaking with the manager after we paid because I was not looking for a discount . I feel it is important that he knew what exactly was going on. He ended up adjusting our bill which was appreciated but not necessary. The name of the place drives in the crowd but be prepared to not be swept off your feet by the experience. Do not set high expectations and you will be fine.

This has been a bucket list item for us for years. We were so excited to get to go. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations and I wouldn’t recommend it. We had dinner reservations at 8:30 and our table wasn’t ready until almost an hour later. We were starving so we decided to eat at the bar. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to have a drink and dessert on the patio after dinner. The food was good, however it was very overpriced in our opinion. We were very appreciative of the staff overall for being so nice and accommodating overall but when you make reservations over a month out you don’t expect an hour wait. We would not recommend this restaurant, there are many restaurants in the area that are just as good and probably way less expensive.

Had an 8pm reservation ended up getting seated at 840pm. The service was excellent but the food was mediocre at best. Beef Wellington was extremely salty the mac and cheese was great. The toffee pudding was also great, presentation was very underwhelming for all dishes and drinks. We expected a much better quality meal and experience but this felt more like a very long night at your local Applebees.

Food and services were great! We were surprised to find a 20 percent charge to bill not considered a tip at END of meal. Kinda felt swindled a bit. It’s up to me to tip accordingly and not pay 4 percent towards employees benefits, is this even a thing? Won’t be back with such a service charge in place.
