Food was excellent but the server was too! This is a top tier establishment. Appetizers were phenomenal. Lobster havarti and onion rings were good and filling. We had a filet and ribeye. Best filet in town! The whiskey ribeye is always a star, but the filet was melt in your mouth! I also had a truffle lobster Mac n cheese, and it was so delicious. Couldn’t finish it all because the portions are so big, but I’m ok with leftovers.

We were there for the entertainment so perhaps shouldn’t be so harsh but the low ratings on Yelp are deserved. High points? The bruschetta was fabulous. The Yukon whipped potatoes yummy but beyond that it was disappointing-especially for the price. I got the wrong order but didn’t say anything because it would have further delayed the meal. (It took a while to take our order and we had to flag down the waitress. ) My husbands $42 filet was a 6 (out of 10) he said. My mother’s chicken was dry and average she said and the broccoli undercooked. When the most affordable steak options are $42 you expect a bit more. It’s passed its prime in our opinion. Decent for drinks and entertainment but beyond that, we’ll pass.

Good was delicious! Really loved the fried onion rings and the chicken piccata. Steak was great too. The only complaint I have is I took us an hour and 45 minutes to get our food and it was really frustrating because we were so hungry. But was a busy night during the college world , still would recommended going :)

Another incredible visit to this iconic location! Our waiter Dan was fantastic and food was out of this world as always. Our tradition to eat here after Game 2 of CWS Championship and will absolutely do it again next year. Can't wait to be back!

Wine and food were great. Greg was an awesome waiter. The salads, steaks and sides were perfect. Beef cooked exactly like we asked. It was an enjoyable dinner and we will return. Judy G

Has our anniversary dinner there. It was CWS week and was busy. Steaks were good. Service was slow. Music was too loud for liking.

Our group had a filet, T-Bone, & KC Strip, deviled eggs and side salads. Steaks & fresh cut fries were excellent as were deviled eggs.

We had super fond memories of Gorat's Steak House. Sadly, our latest experience fell short of those memories. My wife's filet was very good and the wine recommendation from the waiter was quite good. My Nebraska porterhouse, however, was just plain disappointing. It was loaded with inedible portions and the filet section fell far short of what my wife had to eat. Gorat's can do better.
