Good Omen is a family-owned Northern Italian restaurant in the heart of Zionsville and co-owned by mother-and-son partners Nicholas and Diane Gattone. With a background in fine dining in places as far-flung as Chicago, Nantucket Island, and Tuscany, executive chef Nicholas is bringing his knowledge of modern Italian food and wine and a commitment to hospitable dining to his native Midwest. Join us as we welcome the wonderful and extremely informed Brian Borlik of Carroll Wine & Spirits to drink and learn about (and buy!) some fantastic Burgundies! For our second ever wine tasting we will provide curated snacks by Chef Nicholas and plenty of wine to go around. Understand better what a Burgundy is and why this popular French wine region sets the standard of explaining a wine's "terroir" We'll be tasting bottles from all around from famous producers like Joseph Drouhin as well as well known regions like Chassagne-Montrachet, so come in and come thirsty! Once again, Chef Nicholas hit it out of the park for us. We started with fried ricotta filled squash blossoms. Delicious and a short-lived seasonal delicacy. We moved to two pasta dishes that sounded extraordinary: ink lumarche with calamari and spaghetti vongole using little neck clams. Chef suggested we order them simultaneously because there is a slight time lag in their preparation time Each was perfectly prepared and flavorful, but we could not finish it all. We elected to finish the vongole and pack the remainder of the lumarche for home. Next we ordered a salad the included chick peas with very fresh romaine. That, too, was lovely. Finally, we ordered the olive oil cake that came with strawberries. It was a fitting dessert that was perfectly sized. We washed everything down with a Vermentino de Sardegna, a refreshing white wine that pairs well with seafood and pasta. Our service was outstanding with Ashley as the primary, but every one pitching in. It should be mentioned that I have a peculiar food allergy and everyone there was on the lookout for problems. Of course we will be back.

The food was a major disappointment, from the overly salty appetizers, bland main dish, and flat out poor tasting deserts. To top it off, the kitchen was very slow. This restaurant is way overpriced and offers low quality meals. Convivio is a much better restaurant at a fraction of the cost.

Prawns were terrible and they took only 1/2 off the bill even though we both ate one bite. Very expensive for a place that is just ok. Needs work.

Good Omen was wonderful!! From when we walked in until we left everyone was so friendly, Menu was so interesting and our server did an excellent job in answering our questions Food was fabulous from our salads to the dessert!! We'll definitely dine there again

Locally owned and oh so good! I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves a great food and wine experience.

Favorite restaurant of ours …. Food is outstanding as is the service. Reminds us of dining in Europe. It’s an experience!

Delicious as always, service and wine recommendations was spot on. We sat at a table in the bar which was very cozy. Music that evening was a nice touch.
