    Extremely poor value for money. Mediocre food, extremely expensive for what you get. There are numerous better izakaya options

    Gonzo Izakaya is a fantastic spot to catch up with friends and try a variety of delicious snacks. There are some unique and super tasty menu items, I recommend the Eihire. If you're looking for a bigger portion to start your meal, go for the karaage or the onigiri. The decor is awesome, the walls are filled with Japanese menu slips. The bar section is cozy and the retro TV setup they have is really fun.

    We went with our friends and had kids in tow and our baby. Food was delicious! Worth the experience and taste. Prices were on the steeper side given the very small portions even for a tapas / izakaya style kitchen.

    Always an awesome experience at Gonzo. Had the whole back patio for a birthday party some years ago and every guest commented on the great food, atmosphere, service, or drinks. Just took my mum from out of town there and it was her favorite meal of her visit. Highly recommend the cabbage pancake and if you like the tea, try the earl grey cocktail. Thank you, Gonzo! xx

    Always a pleasure going there, specially for the grilled items. They’re all 10 out of 10!

    The food was good but the the service was spotty. The place was also crammed with people and stuff everywhere making the place feel claustrophobic and noisy, making it hard to have a conversation.

    Food was delicious. Menu was well-curated with a nice selection of offerings. Our party of two picky children and three precious adults had plenty to choose from. Service was reasonably attentive. Ambience was warm, intimate and fun. It was expensive though, even considering the high quality of the food. Nonetheless, we will likely return and would recommend this place.
