Gonzales Bistro is an upscale restaurant that makes its home near the very heart of Independence square. We are the only restaurant by the square with prime & waygu aged steaks, fresh seafood, New England oysters. The bistro offers a Wine Spectator Magazine award winning wine list, craft cocktails including house made Tiki drinks. Our reputation is based on repeat diner loyalty not marketing.

Gonzales Bistro changes menus often in order to take advantage of local, seasonal products. Chef Parind's food has big flavors & is seasoned assertively, yet is nuanced, complex, and most importantly, balanced.

Come join us and experience big city dining without all the hassles. Gonzales Bistro is a intimate space with an open kitchen, wood ceilings, framed by great black & white pictures from a bygone era while the charming independence square offers free parking, wide open spaces & vistas of historic buildings. The chef Parind is a marvel! Everything that comes out of the kitchen is perfection! The restaurant's staff and atmosphere are wonderful.

Great food and excellent service. Took friends there for their first time to celebrate a birthday and the deserts topped off a wonderful evening!

Our server Ron was AWESOME! Third time we went to this Bistro & we had him help us each time & he is THE BEST! Food is SO delicious & plated beautifully! This is a favorite restaurant of ours!

This was a great place to have brunch. I look forward to trying out dinner. It is a hidden gem in Gonzales, TX!

Fillet Mignon and Chilean Sea Bass both excellent choices! The steak just melted in your mouth and my husband loved the Sea Bass, it was quite delicious as well.

From the time we entered the door until we were back in our car, we were treated with great respect and courtesy. Our waitress was totally attentive and you could feel that she liked her job. The food is absolutely amazing. Crispy Brussels sprouts with bacon and sweet Thai chili glaze are the best ever. Bob had pork chops with sauerkraut and roasted potatoes which were delicious. I had the lobster and crab tostadas which were perfect.

Okay, it was the worst experience I have ever had there at the bistro. Waited an hour and a half and didn't get our food. We were there to celebrate new year's eve, and it was horrible. One of the waitresses disrespected our waitress in front of us and everyone. I am so so disappointed.Cause we love loved the bistro. That waitress needs to be fired. She was so rude, never smiled at anybody. Just walked around, didn't notice a single person.
