GŎNG, the highest hotel bar in Western Europe is perfect for sunset cocktails and late-night drinks. The bar offers 3 lofted areas for guests to relax and soak in the cityscape including unrivaled views of Tower Bridge.
Uncomplicated and seamless, the bar’s first-class service ensures the ultimate escape from the city’s bustle. Sample one of the delicate, signature cocktails or indulge in a rare, vintage champagne with signature sushi and Asian dishes. Guests are required to be 18 years of age or older after 5:30pm.

Window seats are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please note that there is a £30 minimum spend per person applicable to all guests over the age of 18. All bar reservations will be seated either in Champagne Bar, Cocktail Bar or Sky Pool.
Please note that the Kitchen closes at 22:30 Sunday to Thursday, and 23:30 Friday and Saturday. We currently do not accept OpenTable dining cheques.

We chose to partly celebrate our anniversary at Gǒng in the Shard as we had talked for a while about both wanting to celebrate our time together in a special place with fantastic views. It was a mixed experience - the drinks and bar snacks were great and the views were as amazing as expected, but the service and general demeanour of staff at reception at the ground floor as well as some within Gǒng was quite rude and unwelcoming. The general sense that I got was that the Shangri-La, where the bar is based, is heavily over reliant on the location and views and very complacent with regard to treating guests with common courtesy. Some of the bar staff were lovely - one in particular took more time than we could have expected taking some photos of us, but others were unwelcoming and not overly helpful. This was a surprise as it is a 5-star hotel. We had a nice time - mainly due to the views and we don’t regret celebrating part of our anniversary in Gǒng, but I’d recommend spending special occasions elsewhere where you might feel as though your time and money is valued. Plenty of these places exist in London.

Food was not perfect. Soup was rather cold and main dish was served when we were still eating starters. Therefore main katsu was also not hot enough. Since we ordered some sushi they come at correct temperature. Overall rather disappointing.

Best sushi in london, into the unknown really is an adventurous cocktail and loved it. Definitely returning more often.

Very special yet relaxed evening. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Food was just right and so was the view. It was a big spend for a special birthday, I don’t regret it.

Outstanding view, stylish atmosphere, very nice diner! But dessert was little bit boring and loveless. And the service seems not really interested in creating a wonderful evening for the guests. That’s why it is in total only three (and a half) stars.

Personnel à l’accueil avenant. Personnel de la salle/restaurant froid. Placé au 3eme rang par rapport aux vitres, j’ai attendu qu’une place se libère près de vitres pour apprécier la vue. Pas de place. Je paye et je pars. Un endroit attrape touriste. C’est indéniable que le lieu 52 étage et la tour est impressionnant. Encore faut-il en profiter. Cher pour une vue ratée.
