GOMA is a new Japanese fusion located at the corner of E. 4th and Prospect in downtown Cleveland. As Dante Boccuzzi’s newest restaurant, the menu draws upon Chef Boccuzzi’s worldwide award-winning culinary career, which includes serving as the executive chef at Nobu in Milan, where he worked directly with Nobu Matsuhisa and Giorgio Armani at the flagship establishment. **Validation for parking through East 4th Street Valet is available upon request.

Had high hopes for this one. For the amount you pay the sushi was mediocre and the service was absolutely terrible.

We arrived and our hostess was lovely, we were sat at the sushi bar and then asked to move to another seat since I was right in front of a pole. The waiter had already filled our waters and when we moved we did not take them, so when he came to the new seats he made a point to tell us he was "re-filling" our water. We ordered the YELLOWTAIL OTSUKURI and the BLISTERED SHISHITO PEPPERS . The Yellowtail was cut so poorly, and there was no sauce on the appetizer. As we were sitting at the bar and witnessing the dishes being made we decided to leave. The rolls were cut unevenly and thrown on the plate to where the ingredients were flung at us. Just not the care we have seen when handling expensive cuts of fish so we decided maybe they were not the best grade and left. We have never left in the middle of a meal before so if that is any indicator to work on the presentation, and with the gratuity already included in the bill, maybe the staff needs to do better or have to actually work for the tip.

Slow, uninformed service. Large tempura portion and tiny roll portions. Average experience at best.

Food wasn't too great, sushi was second rate. Saki was amazing but food left something to be desired.

Food was great server was good but the hostess said that only party’s of 4 can sit at a booth I’m sure it’s not her fault it’s a rule. But we were here for our anniversary and while we had to sit at a tiny hard seat table we watched 7 unoccupied booths just sit waiting for customers. We spent over 200$ and had to eat on a tiny table. Be aware

Goma has been consistently excellent whenever we have gone. The food is fresh and delicious. Service is very attentive. Marcus is so personable and makes excellent recommendations. We ask for him every time.
