Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.

The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

Goldies is a great, fun restaurant. But it’s much more than that. The food is cooked to a very high standard. Favourite dishes were the corn, lamb skewers, chicken and delica pumpkin. And the profiterole dessert is to die for. We had an excellent bottle Fleurie, which was keenly priced. The waiting staff were knowledgeable and correctly advised us on portion sizes. The big open fire kitchen looked so busy but every dish was spot on. We will definitely return soon.

A kind of upmarket, good quality, fast food restaurant. Fastish. Excellent fries, unorthodox burgers, crispy pork milanese, nice tangy salad dressing. Can't fault it, apart from the music/noise level, which is too high for these two sexagenerians, anyway. Otherwise, tasty, not fancy, good value.

Great place for lunch if you are out shopping or an evening meal on a night out. Food is delicious, drinks are fantastic and the crew working there are great. Try the spicy margaritas! Music and atmosphere are awesome, we’ll be back.

Not particularly exciting on food or drinks. Service was also pretty slow. Kingly Court always vibrant though.

The flavours of the food is ridiculous! So good, especially lamb and chicken skewers. The chips and dips are so good also. Staff so helpful and attentive, can’t wait to return.
