Was a very nice place. Great and friendly staff and bartenders. Food was delicious! Was really happy with the experience there! Would go again if I’m ever in this city again

Wed been wanting to try Goldfinch, since they moved into the space where our beloved K and L Bistro had been, in Sebastopol. We found the bar area was noisy, but hoped that the dining room would be quieter. It wasn't. It was difficult to have a conversation. The restaurant is also dimly lit, making it difficult to read the menu. My husband had oysters, which he enjoyed and I had the butter lettuce salad with mustard balsamic vinaigrette. It was swimming in dressing, which we both found to be pungent and too salty. For main courses, we had the black cod and hanger steak. Both were covered in too much sauce, which also covered everything else on the plate. My steak had chimichirri, which was also very salty and had a lot of spicy peppercorns in it. We had 2 cocktails, no dessert and no alcohol and our bill was $180, including the tip.

The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Cocktails were good as well. Might have caught them on an off night, but service was noticeably inattentive - I don’t think anyone asked us how our food was the entire night - and we sat for quite a while waiting to order dessert.

We had a lovely experience. Staff was gracious. Food was delicious and beautifully presented with lots of color from edible flowers. Wines and cocktails were fairly priced.

We went for an anniversary dinner and loved the cocktails, food and service. The ahi tuna dish was delicious, the zucchini was great and the fried chicken was unexpectedly wonderful

Another Craft Cocktail and dinner Friday night trying a new restaurant - Goldfinch. Great cocktails, extensive and creative menu that delivered and attentive service. In fact the menu had so many creative offerings, it was hard to choose. We ended up trying many small plates and splitting one large. There wasn’t a mediocre plate in the bunch! 6 out of 6 said they would come again. Bonus - The Third Pig, a favorite Craft Cocktail hang out is right across the street for a nightcap!

We had a terrific first visit to Goldfinch. We sat at the chef's counter and got a great view of many of the appetizers being plated. The spacing is good, so although you're immediately adjacent to others it doesn't feel cramped. We enjoyed everything we had and would happily come back. My Afternoon Delight cocktail was terrific and I'd love to try others on the menu. My meat-loving husband really enjoyed the pork chop and still said that the best thing he had all night was the sauce for the carrot appetizer, which is really saying something. The beet appetizer was also a standout. If you're a vegetarian, the ricotta ravioli is delicious, but because it appears to be made with a beet-infused pasta that's a reddish pink when cooked, it arrives looking a little bit like the most beautifully decorated plate of glistening raw meat you've ever seen. If that visual will bother you, as it did me just a little, consider crafting a meal out of the truly amazing appetizers instead. There are numerous great options to make for an ample meal and if the menu is the same when I return, this is probably what I'd opt for.

The five in our party ordered a diverse main course and we added three sharables… each of us was entirely satisfied with our individual choices as well as the sharables… each dish was thoughtfully and beautifully prepared and presented. One in our party has fairly strict limitations and our wait-staff inquired, listened, and delivered the perfect choices! We felt that every element was covered and we each had a unique inquest experience and wonderful help in getting there!!!
