The Golden Steer Steak & Rib has everything, from American grill classics, including perfectly cooked steaks and tender ribs, to delicious crowd pleasers such as breakfast cheese omelets and strawberry shortcakes. It is the place to visit in Kent. The generous portions of Golden Steer Steak & RibÕs specials include homestyle meals such as meatloaf, country pot roast, fried steak and pork chops. Steaks are served with access to the salad bar which is stocked with fresh ingredients. Weekdays at Golden Steer are for karaoke nights and happy hour. The restaurant is open seven days of the week, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a special buffet brunch on Sundays. There is a special kids menu for younger patrons as well. You can also book Golden Steer & Rib for catering services for an upcoming special event.

I love a good ol staple restaurant... and I was really hoping this place was gonna be an awesome surprise. It’s unassuming... situated in the same parking lot as a grocery outlet. Unfortunately... even though the service was outstanding- our waitress was SO sweet and I really wanted to love the place because I could tell everyone working there had been there for a while... The food was just not good. At all. Can’t recommend.

We made the reservation through open table and then arrived to find it closed for construction. Most irritating.

The inside needs a bit of an update. The waitress was nice but kept getting things wrong and would forgot to bring things that we asked for. The prime rib was okay a bit on the dry side and the mashed potatoes were cold, I asked for them to be fixed and they brought out a new plate of mashed potatoes that were still cold. They ended up removing under $5 from my bill. I will say though that the kids cheeseburger was pretty good when I had a bite off my sons order. If I for some reason we’re to ever go back I would order the cheeseburger. For the price we paid I felt the food should have reflected it.

Very good food. Steak done perfectly. Very good and attentive service. If your looking for a linen table cloth fancy steak house this is not it. It more of a family restaurant that makes a great steak
