The lunchtime specials, a drink and main course for £12 and a hot drink and mini pudding for£5 are fantastic value. Beautifully presented and delicious. The staff are outstanding. Courteous, friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our meal. The 2 course for £17 was great value. Service was efficient, friendly and not obtrusive. Nice ambience in the restaurant. Will definitely return. Thank you.

We've been back to this lovely place several times now and it never fails to disappoint. the food is excellent and the staff are efficient and very friendly and helpful. the disabled facilities are also good as we often bring my father who is in a wheelchair. Would not hestitate to recommend the golden cock.

We met friends at the Golden Cock on Saturday evening. I’d not been for probably 40 years so wasn’t sure would be as good but we had a lovely evening & food was very nice. The young lady who served us had only been there a week but you would never have known. She was lovely.

a very pleasnt welcome shown straight to our table drink service very prompt gave us time to order our food not long to wait .The food was delicious and very pleasant staff all round a lovely evening

Quick efficient service and the food was very good with correct sized portions for all of us. The dining area was nicely decorated and our waiter was friendly but professional. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Food and service as good as always. Chef came out to let us know there was a slight delay as making crumble. Not a problem with us but normally elsewhere we would have just been left waiting with no explanation. This was very nice to be told.
