First time here. Ordered the chicken pot pie. It looked exactly as the photo on the website (sometimes the food doesn't come close to the pictures on the website). It tasted very good and the crust was just right. My friends had the ahi tuna salad which they loved. One also had the key lime pie which they also loved. They ate every morsel. And French press coffee right at the table. The food was reasonably priced and the menu was not overwhelming with too much choice. I rated my food a 4 out of 5. I reserve a 5 for food that blows me away. I.e. while chicken pot pie is not usually the kind of food that would blow you away, was it the best chicken pot pie I had ever had? No, but it is second best. It was meaty, the crust was perfect. What set this restaurant apart is the service. It was excellent from beginning (with the hostess) to the end (with our waiter). I was the first to arrive of my party and they seated me right away where I wanted to sit and started taking my order. I decided to order an appetizer such that when my friends arrived, there would be something for them to eat when they arrived. No problem. None of this we can't seat you until your entire party arrives. We never wanted for anything. There was live jazz music and a fireplace (which we were lucky enough to be seated close to) which made for a wonderful ambiance. All in all, a great place to eat. I would return.

Food is usually very good. However it was only lukewarm.. not much flavor. I ordered the rotisserie... and mac n cheese was watery. Definitely not the best meal I've had at Stanford-Glenwood.

I dined at Glenwood's on 2/23 with friends from school, for brunch. The pear martini remains a favorite that still delights. We also ordered the crab cake sandwich with the house salad, pancakes with bacon, and chicken and waffles. The food and drinks were delicious. The jazz for brunch as a nice touch. Service was great as usual. We even saved $25.00 on the bill because a friend is a member of their frequent diner's club. I highly recommend this venue.

We went for brunch. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent ambiance. Jazz in background was nice but not too loud -- we were still able to have a nice conversation. Our server was fantastic. I can't imagine anyone not liking this place.

We had an great dining experience here. The staff was attentive, and the service was top-notch! The cozy central fire place is a beautiful touch. And we enjoyed the entertainment of the live classical/jazz musicians as well! Worth a visit!”

Over the years we have eaten here on the high double digits and always given 5 star reviews. It has been a while though since our last visit and the table’s feeling was Glenwoods is resting on it’s reputation and is beginning to slip. It snowed on that is was noticeablly less crowded on a weekend night than our previous visits Our server needed more training, our orders came out wrong, runners asked who got what dish pls didn’t clear dirty dishes and worst of all we had a 45 minute wait for our entrees. Now on the positive side the manager was always walking the floor and accessible. Bought our issues to her attention and she promptly got our meals out of the kitchen and made an accommodation on our check that was fair and appreciated.

Great service, high quality large portions of wonderful food. Little pricey but you get what you pay for. Great for special occasions.
