Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to join LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving tasty, bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. A few favorites, like goat empanadas and sautéed green beans, will be back on the menu. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads and adventurers!

We had a good experience with the whole evening. The food was complex, yet full of different flavor's that made the dishes explode with each bite. The vibe was chill and noise level was ok. I would recommend and we will be returning.

Pork belly and short ribs were flash fried to hard. However the Vietnamese sausage with potato dish was outstanding.

This place has a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere and outstanding service. Our waitperson asked if we had any allergies, and then when my friend named that in fact, she is allergic to soy, she was instantly brought a ‘soy free’ menu. We ordered from that menu, and when each dish arrived, whoever delivered it assured us that it was soy free. I was amazed by that attention to detail and communication among the staff. All of the food was excellent, very flavorful. I look forward to returning and trying other dishes, too!

Amazing food. California cuisine at its most eclectic. Middle Eastern meets Mexican meets French? Whatever you call it, it was delicious. So glad we went.

Good Vibe and the food was terrific. Especially liked the Sticky glazed fried Miatake mushrooms from vegan menu and from the regular menu the sauteed green beans and shrimp and crispy greens.

The place looks great. Nice vibe with servers. But a couple dishes took some time. We went for the pre fixe menu. There weren’t a lot of “wow so yummy” dishes. Corn was ok. First tomato dish too spicy. The fish was ok. Not the food I’d expect. Especially for the price.
