Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to join LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving tasty, bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. A few favorites, like goat empanadas and sautéed green beans, will be back on the menu. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads and adventurers!

    The timing of the food was off; I received my main before the app. And I had to re-order the wine that accompanied the main.

    Girl & the Goat is extraordinary, Our experience was phenomenal. We had the best service. We tried almost every thing on the brunch menu, and it was exceptionally delicious. Can’t wait to come back for brunch again and definitely looking forward to coming for dinner

    Food was great as usual. One of our favorite brunch spots but service was off today. Several mistakes were made with our order and one person in our party had to wait a long time for their dish. Although the waitress acknowledged that she made mistakes, no financial compensation was offered for some missteps that greatly affected our meal.

    My experience was exquisite. The hostess was attentive, the ambiance was electric in the best way one we entered. We were early, so the bar was our friend while we waited for our table. Mike was fantastic. He creates the cocktails that pair with the menu. Each drink we tried had its own unique flair and fit the meal wonderfully. Claire was our waitress. She was so helpful, knowledgeable, and suggested fantastic options. The Pork Shank was FANTASTIC. I’ll die on that hill. The starter was wonderful as well. Naan and dips. So tasty. I highly recommend. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

    We had an amazing experience. It was packed but we were still able to hear each other, and there was a lot of space between tables so we didn’t feel like we were shoulder to shoulder with other people which is really rare with popular restaurants in LA. The staff was really friendly and the food was delicious. We ate off the vegan menu and everything was great. We got the naan and carrot hummus, the roast carrots, the corn, and the grilled pineapple with cold noodles. We would absolutely come back!

    Been to her flagship restaurant in Chicago & it was amazing so wondered how her LA spot would compare & it did not disappoint! I think the space of the LA restaurant was even better - really sweet vibe & ambiance. Service was excellent, but more than anything - the food was out of this world. So many amazing flavors. We are planning our next visit! Nice job!

    Kitchen was backed up and it was really noticeable. Kinda surprising when this place has been open for awhile.

    My favorite restaurant in all of LA! They know flavor profile here. Never had a meal that disappointed. It’s always perfect!
