Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of innovative cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, travelers and adventurers!

Delicious food as always. Girl and the Goat remains a top restaurant for having large parties, sharing delicious food that has the right amount of sweet, savory, sour, and crunchy. The varying textures is what separates the food from many other restaurants.

It was my first time here and I was hoping for a decent food experience but what I got was a wonderful meal full of flavor and nice surprises. The veggies were the star of the show believe it or not with the beet salad and carrots tasting marvelous. I’m not a beet and carrots kinda guy so trust me when I say you will love these. Next came the pork belly and the chicken both loaded with the same creative and unexpected flavor. Of course I failed to mention the Appetizer the naan and hummus were exquisite. So much so that my wife who is gluten free has to take a bite of the naan and truly loved it. Even here gluten free version chips were tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant for a breath of fresh air and change of pace.

I like to say the most memorable part of the meal is the service! We LOVED our server, she was kind and precise. Management doing a fantastic job. There were two personal preference moments, one woman who dropped off our dish had her hand in her pocket (weird & unsanitary) and a gentleman cleared out a plate with food still on it, didn’t left much time to nibble. Food is beautiful and innovative. Carrot dish wasn’t my favorite, bass had a really pungent oil taste and had excessive amount of it. Oysters, Brussels, corn, goat curry FABULOUS! Drinks FABULOUS! Favorite part of the dessert was the tamarind drizzle, I got it on the side and drank it with a spoon 🙂 I would have loved the drinks menu and one food menu left on the table so we could tried more things. Overall experience was beautiful. Will definitely come back. Thank You for making my partners birthday special.

Just one of the best restaurants in LA - elevated and chic, but not overly fancy. Love the regular menu staples, but also the seasonal variation. Keeps things fresh, yet reliably great. One of our favorite spots to bring visiting parents & friends!

Two members of our party have numerous food allergies. One can’t eat nightshades which are present in almost all their menu items. Our server was very helpful and the chef remade a chicken dish to accommodate the allergy. Our friend could not stop raving about the dish. Everything we ordered was spectacular. Another member of our party is allergic to chocolate and dairy, she usually is unable to partake in dessert. She was very excited to see banana sorbet with tamarind sauce on the menu, it was so yummy. We had a fabulous dining experience and will go back soon.

The food was amazing! The quality and flavor of each dish left me satisfied. Highly recommend the Pork Shank, green beans and Nan! The menu and photos on yelp may not represent the current menu. Outdoor seating is great if you’re directly under the lamp with a smaller table. The elevator to the parking structure places you in an alley that connects to the front of the restaurant.

Food was ok - music didn’t fit the vibe we were expecting but maybe because it was New Years Eve. Our servers were great and thoughtful.

Came here early on New Year's Eve and had a wonderful dinner with friends. Enjoyed the family style shareable dishes.
