Le Girl & the Goat a ouvert ses portes en 2010 avec l'objectif de servir un menu de style familial débordant de savoureux aliments aux arômes audacieux, dans un environnement amusant et animé. Pour une expérience encore plus exceptionnelle, ils proposent une sélection de vins du monde entier avec un accent mis sur les petits producteurs, une carte rotative de bières artisanales et une liste de cocktails amusants créés par les barmen de l'établissement. Situé au 809 W Randolph, le Girl & the Goat est l'un des premiers établissements du Randolph Restaurant Corridor. Vous avez l'embarras du choix côté places, avec un salon confortable, des sièges au bar, des tables standard et quatre sièges si près de la cuisine qu'on pourrait vous demander de donner un coup de main! D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Lors de son ouverture en 2010, le Girl & the Goat a lancé le concept de la gastronomie décontractée dans le West Loop, sur l'emblématique Restaurant Row. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and will absolutely be back. The food was exceptional. I can’t even pick a favorite because one thing was better than the next. Just phenomenal.

We ordered the pig face and roasted pork shank and shared these dishes between the two of us. They were so flavorful. The meat of the pork shank was so tender it fell off the bone. To top it off, we had the chocolate bar for desert which was a wonderful combination of chocolate, lemon whip and basil ice cream. Best dinner I had in a while. My daughter had given us a gift card to this restaurant because it is one of her favorites and now I understand why.

My wife and I decided to go here. Nice place. The issue here was that the waiter said the portions were to share. We ordered the oysters and literally only two came on the plate. The minimum for two people to share should be at least 3. especially for 18$ for two oysters. But then the empanadas came out as well with only two on the plate. The food was great yes but I feel lied to and robbed. My wife and I got 2 drinks, 2 desserts and the rest up top. 170$ and still hungry. My wife and I got a burger across the street along with velvet taco. This place was not worth the money for the amount of food. The absolute worst place for the price I've ever been. That's a shame because the taste was great. The chocolate dessert flavors also did not match. There were to many flavors that didn't match in one bite nor two. You had ginger, chocolate, I believe mint but it just did not match my tongue. The pumpkin date dessert was better but very salty. You had to eat the gelato with it to eliminate some of that salt. Lastly the beef noodles. Noodles were bland but the rest of the dish was beautiful. Minimal but beautiful. The beef was tinder but just all together it was a 7 out of 10. But over all I had to leave zero tip because I feel absolutely lied to. 170 and still hungry based off of what he said to my wife and Is extremely misleading. The other table next to us was told the samething. Do not come here if you are hungry.

Everything was amazing. We sat outside, so it was relatively quiet. Inside was buzzing.

Fabulous food, ambience, and overall dining experience. Food is delectable and meant to be shared, and the pork shank is a MUST! In fact, we decided that it would be better to request that the pork shank come earlier in the meal (1st or 2nd dish to be served), bc it’s the specialty and SO delicious. We had filled up a bit on the smaller dishes which would be enjoyed just as much as late-comers. We had a superb evening and can’t wait to go back!

We adored it! My colleague and I grabbed an early rez and asked to sit outside when we arrived, to enjoy to the unseasonably warm October weather. The hostess accommodated, noting we’d have to vacate in 1 hour, 45 minutes for the next seating. We accepted because the indoor volume was quite loud. All staff and servers were amazing and the food — THE FOOD! So many complementary tastes, textures, and temps! All ingredients were perfectly ripe and delicious. Very inventive dishes and unique drinks list. Our only “complaint” was that we barely put the serving spoon down on the family-style plates before someone cleared them. There were valuable last-bites in those dishes that we lost. We think they were trying to ensure the table was ready for the next guests, but we left with time to spare. Either way, we absolutely would come again. Kudus to the back- and front-of-house staff.

The food was incredible and I would go here again and again. The only negative is I made this reservation weeks in advance. The day of I received a message asking if I wanted to dine on the patio. I said yes without checking weather (my bad). It was cold (60) and there were no heaters or protection from the wind outside. I am from out of town. I should have been made aware of this because I was not aloud to switch back inside and was treated as if I had just made a reservation that day instead of planning ahead.

Hostes are not friendly at all! I really don’t understand how the restaurante does not improve and insist in the same people despite all the costumers complains. Besides this, food is amazing!
