I went to this restaurant solely on its reputation sand unfortunately was extremely disappointed with almost the entire experience. I was seated and asked for wine list and ordered two wines that they were out of stock on and had to settle for an overpriced wine that was 15.00 per glass that I know retails for 12.99...wow. I ordered a bowl of the house Minestrone Soup and the "bowl" has so little in it, I was quite surprised, as I know soups are a money maker for restaurants but this lack of quantity and quality was quite shocking for a 14.00 "bowl". I ordered the Caesar salad and added blackened chicken and when this hit the table another shock by the quality and quantity. The chicken was smothered in seasoning, which I do not mind, but it was not at all integated into the chicken itself...almost like they dased it on as an afterthought. The romaine lettuce itself lacked in quality and barely had an Caesar dressing on it at all...all of this for 28.00. I would highly advise that all local Nashvillians and tourists stay away from the overpriced restaurant with mediocre...at best... food.

I am extremely disappointed about your experience. We do boast 43 years in business 27 in Midtown Manhattan and 16 in Nashville. We have the top clientele possible. I do not think that a blackened chicken would be my choice in a top class Northern Italian restaurant. Please come back and try us again and maybe ask for guidance on what to order from myself or one of my great servers. Regarding the glasses of wines that were unavailable, there is only 1 wine we were out of for 2 days which is the Lugana which is being replaced by a Suvignon Blanc. Sincerely Giovanni.

We visited Giavanni's restaurant for our anniversary. Had been there a couple times before. Food is outstanding and the service is the best. Highly recommend, as we will go back next time we are in the area.

Service and food were excellent. The manager acknowledged our anniversary which was very sweet. He also gave us two lemoncellos on the house for this occasion. We love this restaurant for special occasions and monthly “dates”. You will not be disappointed.
