Prepare to be thrilled at this all-star Italian restaurant located off Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island, SC. Gios Italian Kitchen is family owned and operated since August 7th, 2014. Brothers/Chefs Klodjan & Renato Hoxha run the kitchen while the sister/GM Eri handles the front. Parents are also involved in the business operation on a daily basis. The Hoxha family was born in Albania and moved to the United States in 2003, seeking the American dream. The family has 17 years of experience in cooking. Our chefs make all the dishes with the freshest ingredients and highest quality of product. Gios serves the best marinara sauce and some of the tastiest authentic Italian dishes in the Grand Strand. Second time dining at this superb Italian restaurant. The food is scrumptious, the portions are very generous, and the service is outstanding. My daughter and I dined there recently to celebrate, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Our waitress Lily was absolutely perfect -- just delightful and truly excellent in providing us a beautifully orchestrated, well timed, delicious experience. I most definitely recommend this restaurant -- you will not be disappointed! We can't wait to go back.

This was our first visit to Gios. We had already read many good reviews so we were hopeful it was as good as everyone said. Well, it was! It has an intimate eating area where we could hear each other talk. Our server, Julia, was kind and always seemed to appear when we were just ready for her. I ordered one of the daily specials, the risotto. So good! Shrimp, crab, lobster all together. There were many tempting dishes on the menu so we will be back often.

The food was the delicious! The service from the moment we arrived was the worst I have had I a very long time! We had a reservation and the two hostesses did not say a single word to us! Finally one said follow me, lead us to a table, handed us a menu and walked away with out a word. We then were served water by a busboy and proceeded to sit there for 15 minutes before our waiter acknowledged us. She took our drink orders and asked if we were ready to order. We didn’t even know they had specials until we heard another waiter sharing them with the table next to us! I don’t like an over friendly wait staff but I do like to be acknowledged at some point?!??

Thank you for a perfect first date! We had a quiet space for most of our dinner. Staff was impeccable. Dinner was excellent.
