In 1959, Frank and Tina D'Ambrosio decided to start a new restaurant venture along with their "Paisans" Mario and Enza Volpe, after Frank had much success with his first restaurant, the original "Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! In Mountain View, CA. Named after a good friend of theirs, they opened the original "Giorgio's" in the Foxworthy Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. One year later, cousins Anthony and Louise Dambruoso, affectionately known to the family as "Sash and Lou", took control of the restaurant and ran it for the next eight years. Pictures and paintings of these folks still grace the walls of the establishment today. In 1968, Frank's four sons assumed control of the restaurant and still own and operate it to this day. In 1997 they opened a second location in Milpitas, CA, in 2023 another in Morgan Hill and now back in Mountain View, where they still offer the highest standard of quality food, service, and value to their customers. Our first time to Georgia's, which was Frankie, Johnnie & Luigi. This is a much smaller version of the old restaurant. The food is still the same outstanding that we have always experienced. The indoor seating is opposite the bar, which gives it a different feel. There isn't any Italian ambiance like the old restaurant. Our waitress was great and we had a very nice time.

Since this place reopened as Georgio's Grill & Pizzeria, formerly, Frankie, Johnny, and Luigi's (F, J, & L's) it has become a Hot Spot'. It has very limited seating indoors so we were quite disappointed that our Open Table reservation for Indoor seating was missed by the host. The reservation was made about an hour and a half before. Although he apologized (they were so very busy) when recognizing our reservation we had no alternative but to dine outside. The issue dining outside during the time we were seated was the traffic noise on El Camino and all the chatter of diners around us. Most likely dining after commute time would be less noisy. We still put up with it all because we so enjoy their great food. Once the food was placed on the table, all our attention went to enjoying eating and the noise seemed to dissipate. Although we have a 'No leftover rule' will always manage to bring 'leftovers' home. Our wait staff, Brooks was quite pleasant, attentive and personable as busy as he was. We certainly will keep coming back to dine here as the quality and various selections that are offered bring back the distant memory of F, J, & L's

We were seated promptly when we arrived. The four of us ate our dinner in family style and enjoyed the calamari, house salad, lasagne, ribs, and chicken carbonara. We enjoyed the food and large portions. The inside seating area is small and tables were close together.

Great service - friendly and helpful. Food had well-balanced seasoning and made with fresh ingredients, ample portions. Outdoors seating and atmosphere with music is very comfortable; no disturbance whatsoever being on El Camino. We were not alone feeling overjoyed that FJL is back (!!!), even with the name change. They make you feel a part of their family! Thank you!

Make sure you arrive early, since there isn’t much parking. I had a reservation at 6:45 and they cancelled my reservation. I was there at 6:54 since I couldn’t park anywhere close. They stated that my reservation was at 6:30. I showed them my 6:45 reservation on my phone and they apologized, but didn’t have space outside seating which is what I wanted. They found a table inside. The food is the same as when Frankie Johnnie and Luigi and we had Caprese salad, penne e spinaci, fresh salmon Florentine. All the food was excellent.Service was good. I plan to be back and next time I’ll arrive early.

We made a reservation for an inside table, a reservation they didn't honor. Moreover, the outside table they offered us did not have a heater anywhere nearby. (It was a very chilly evening.) We complained, they shrugged, we left.

Keeping things short, simple and specific... We were long diners of Frankie, Jonny's and Luigi's for many, many years. We held several large functions at the restaurant for family and friends using the "side room". When we came in for dinner at the renamed Giorgio's we were stunned with disappointment. Gone is the dining room with the very attentive staff. We were seated inside for a table of four against the window with a large beam taking one space at the table. It made for a very awkward setting for my family. It is now designed to be more of a pick-up order place than a restaurant to dine in. They did extend the outdoor seating area from the previous footprint. Also, the parking lot was much more accessible than the old one. We had high expectations for the restaurant considering that they advertised that even though they have a new name, it's still FJL. In our opinion the food was "meh" at best. The only thing that was just "good" was the pizza whereas the pizza at FJL was amazing to us; we ordered the Giorgio's Meat Special. We also ordered mozzarella with tomatoes (just okay), Sausage Bread (far less sausage and cheese than FJL), Penne Calabreze (meh) and Spaghetti w/ meatball (lacked the flavor and texture we were expecting). We also ordered Cannoli for dessert which was just okay. Our server was working hard and it was busy but....he forgot our drink order, didn't check in with us at the beginning of service and no bread was served. We had to remind him several times for these things. We had high expectations to enjoy dinner at the new "FJL" but it was sorely lacking that we won't patronize it again. We have gone to the Milpitas Giorgio's and found that it was much better than the Mountain View location but still not the FJL we remember. It saddens me to have to write such a poor comment like this but if you are expecting to have a dinner from this new Giorgio's understand that it's not at all like the old FJL.

Great dining experience! Really enjoyed the food - the pasta pomodoro with shrimp was awesome, despite having too much tomatoes.
