My husband and I have been 3 or 4 times now for dinner. It’s an understatement to say that we are big fans of Gioa. It’s one of the best additions to the neighborhood. I’m a big fan of the open kitchen concept and the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I can’t wait to visit the rooftop!

I was shocked that they were out of Wooster squares! Waitress said they didn’t have the dough - very strange

Gioia is a lovely new spot right off of Wooster Square. I took a few friends there for dinner, and the service was outstanding. Alex and the servers made us feel so comfortable, and we were able to find lots of goodies on the menu for everyone at the table. We split the salumi and cheese board, to start, followed up by two pasta dishes, the arancini and the anchovy toast. We had two scoops of gelato and the rhubarb for dessert. It was all fantastic. Our table was a little awkward in shape, but we managed. The market next door is also adorable. Great for cocktails and dinner out with friends. Will definitely be back!

We went for Sunday Brunch Grilled eggplant was delicious. Fusilli Verdura was good but overcooked. Pasta is supposed to be al dente.

Highly recommend! Service is amazing! Food excellent…although I got wood fired tuna and it was not as expected and somewhat dry…:( Small plates excellent! Pasta dishes excellent! Deserts and Affago very good! Cozy booth seating could be uncomfortable for 4 Only major complaint is noise level…and wood fired fish… Definitely will be back…Parking on street is a challenge as well…

This was our first time eating at Gioia and we will be back. The place was hopping for an early Saturday dinner but a great vibe. From cocktails to dessert, it was a delicious experience!!

Our server was great, drinks were amazing. I also enjoyed our entrees. We order a cheese and salumi board which was not up to par like other places we have had their boards from. The bread I understand is suppose to be stale. But that was beyond stale it was inedible. The options of meat and cheese had no class. Dessert was okay, it should be stated in the menu that it’s a deconstructed desert. If you could take any advice from someone that worked on Wooster Street for 10 years & is from New Haven. Please make New Haven style pizza that Sicilian style was atrocious. I was expecting something else. The rooftop service was horrible. You couldn’t pay me to have drinks up their. It was stated that it’s a separate entity, but you HAVE TO go downstairs to use their bathrooms?! Menu seemed somewhat mirrored upstairs. The servers upstairs seemed to have had a long day & made it seem like we were in convincing them that we were their. It was a humid day and those baby fans do absolutely nothing to cool anyone down. It was a big no for me with the rooftop.
