First time at Gioia, definitely not the last! The food and service are extraordinary. Nothing bad to say!

When I first decided to go to Gioia for dinner special popped up on line with pasta. It came with two pastas and a bottle of wine Our waitress never mentioned the special until I brought it up. My husband and I both ordered the special. Our friends just ordered the pasta entrée for dinner not the special as they had cocktails instead of wine. They both received a ridiculously small portion. Six small tortellinis on a plate. She received five small raviolis on a plate. It was embarrassing! The waitress never came over to see how our meal was. We go out often....We go into Manhattan where they do not serve large plates of food. This was beyond! Our friends spoke to the manager of the restaurant and he really did not do anything to make him feel better. Didn't offer a drink didn't offer dessert did not offer us to come back. We will not return, the food was OK, but that's not just what makes a great restaurant. So many choices why bother!

It’s a gem in the Oyster Bay hamlet. Food and service was wonderful. Our waitress Heather was amazing. We will Be back for sure.

Very good restaurant overall, a little bit crowded (arguably a good thing and indicative of how good it was) but the food was very good and excellent service. Biggest downside was the limited menu options, which in my opinion is the only reason the food did not receive a 5 star review because it was otherwise delicious.

Overall, a sophisticated and beautifully prepared and presented array of dishes. This is the real Bologna, not the pasta and meatballs or chicken parm kind of place that are so routine.

Love this place. Cozy Italian restaurant with dim lighting, authentic feel, and fresh made pasta dishes. Service is excellent and the food is delicious.

Great food, especially pastas and appetizers. Other entrees very limited and could be more creative. Front seating by the bar too noisy which contributed to some spotty service.
