We had an amazing time celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and 20 years of knowing each other. Our waitress made it extra special.

Food and service were very good. The only drawback was we were sitting under the speaker and the music was a little loud. We’ll definitely go back.

This was my first visit for dinner at Gio's Modern Italian; I had been to lunch 3-4 times. Our group of four had the eggplant appetizer, scallop risotto, chicken and vodka penne, a salad, and another pasta dish. We all loved the eggplant Parmesan. My risotto was very flavorful with the scallops nicely browned. The waiters were helpful and strove to provide professional service. I think one may have been new; helpful but not smooth. Pricing was very good especially for Chesterfield. I will return and highly recommend Gio's.

We had a large group for a going away dinner for my brother’s upcoming deployment. We understand that having a large party may not always mean to best service. However, the server was not very attentive. After appetizers and first rounds of drinks it took a decent amount of time before she would come clear the table. When she would clear plates and cups it would only be a dish or two at a time even after we stacked everything and placed to the side. The meal was incredibly over priced for the bland mush they served. A $50 steak that was supposed to be medium was served well done which then resulted in a 20 minute wait for a redo. Everyone was finished by the time the remake was sent out. The manager did end up comping the dish. Definitely one of those reasons to never order a steak from an Italian restaurant. With the poor service and prices, we will not return as frequent travelers to St Louis.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating a family birthday. Even with a large group, the wait staff was excellent and food was delicious!

This restaurant was very noisy. My wife and I could not carry on a conversation without speaking loudly. We waited at our table for a long time before a waitress ask us if anyone has helped us. She had to go to the manager to find out who was suppose to be our waiter. The food was average at best and my wife’s antipasto salad was warm. The waiter never refilled our water glasses and was not very attentive. When making the reservation on Opentable, I selected we were celebrating a birthday and no one asked if we were celebrating anything tonight. The waiter did not even ask if we wanted dessert. When it was time to get the bill our waiter was not around again and another waitress had to go find him. Overall, it was a very disappointing evening.
