The beauty and variety of Japanese cuisine reflects on our menus, including Edomae Sushi, Teppanyaki and Robata dishes, as well as one of the most extensive Sake list in London.

Using top quality ingredients we create a beautiful harmony including teppanyaki - a cooking style in which a chef cooks in front of you as well as a very popular Sushi bar.

Outstanding placd but the service was sooooo chaotic and poor. There was some kind of problem with the kitchen planning i think. The waiters tried their best but it wasnt great.

The food was quite good, however it took a bit of time to come out. I would attribute this to the fact that it’s a busy place. The waitress was incredibly nice and her customer service was impeccable on the other hand. Always taking into consideration us as customers when some things were taking longer to be served. She certainly made up for it

Always lovely service, special mention to the manager. Sashimi has always been outstanding as well as the Kobe beef. We love returning

Not a great vibe, staff were flapping though wasn't busy, food took forever to come, drinks took even longer...

We had the set menu for Valentines Day which was extremely disappointing. Firstly the menu wasn’t clear that you had to pick only ONE main course and this wasn’t told to us either. So the main course was a steak and 1 tomato with no sides or choice of sides whatsoever. Also it was very slow service, we were in there a total of 3 hours which all consisted of us waiting for our food to come out. They forgot about one of our starters so we had to remind them to 3 waiters and so that came out after our “main”. Also the portions were extremely small and didn’t fill us up at all. All in all very disappointing and we won’t be returning.

Expensive restaurant but food and atmosphere are good with great service. Three if us dined and had a really pleasant evening. The wagu steak at £140 for nine little cubes is something for folk who have too much money. The less expensive cuts are just as nice. I enjoyed the chicken main and the excellent vegetable sides.

We had the £125 tasting menu but felt it fell short on quantity and quality for the price. The dishes were good but I didn’t think worth it . I have had many tasting menus and this one didn’t stack up. May be part of the reason it was nearly empty

Overpriced food, environment was good, but food is quite average in taste, sushi rolls really could be improved.

Ginza St. James delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The tasting menu was a journey of beautifully crafted dishes, each one showcasing top-tier ingredients and expert execution. The tuna tataki and lobster tempura stood out with their perfect balance of flavor and texture, while the Kagoshima Gyu Sirloin was an absolute highlight—rich, tender, and full of depth. To finish, the desserts were outstanding—the miso Basque cheesecake was a personal favorite, while the matcha crème brûlée won over my wife. Overall, a fantastic experience well worth revisiting.
