Gino D'Acampo Newcastle is a beautiful light, open plan restaurant with floor to ceiling windows that lets the natural light flood it – it’s a real mood booster. That’s not all, we also have a huge contemporary terrace overlooking the iconic River Tyne, I can’t wait for you to see it.

Serving real Italian food as it should be, the menu really does have something for everyone. Check out my new lounge bar as well, it serves one of the biggest selections of Prosecco, sparkling wine and Franciacorta in the UK, with over 30 varieties for you to choose from. Been many times previously and it's always been fabulous. Visited today for a birthday treat and both the food and service were very poor. I really don't think I'd return if this is the new standard.

Food has changed a lot I have had better food in local high street Italians my brochette had none of the balsamic vinegar on or the cheese they use very poor mussels were very sparse and main was ok very over priced for what we got

We had a wonderful time more than exceeded or expectations. Celebrating our wedding anniversary we had been given a gift certificate and we chose to go opt for the 3 course Italian lunch . This includes a complimentary drink Peroni beer , glass of bubbly or my choice Aperol Spritz . We added two glasses nor white wine as extra drinks. The starter of Bruccetta Gamberoni was excellent delicious well cooked king prawns and beautiful fresh toasted ciabatta. The Parma ham bruschetta was ok but didn’t compare to the prawn. The main course was a Scallopine Di Pallo in a delicious creamy sauce, my husband chose the Fettuccine Bolognaise, large dish bu average. Sides are an optional we added a Rocket and Pecorino salad extra charge maws £5.75 . Desert we opted for Gelato huge servings and really one dish would serve 2 people maybe share one of the other desserts. The chocolate gelato was impressive but the pistachio a little disappointing lacking in flavour. The overall cost included a service charge was £95approx expensive for everyday but with our gift voucher we had a wonderful time. The service was excellent the venue is beautiful. and outstandingly clean. I wasn’t sure what to expect but exceeds expectations.

We had a great time we stayed the night the lad that checked us in was great I’m in a wheelchair at the moment are he was very nice it was my first time doing something gino is the place to feel at home
