I’m so excited to announce the third restaurant in partnership with hotel giant Melia, is Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street.

It’s a beautiful modern open plan restaurant with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Old Hall Street. Talking of skylines, you have to visit Sky Bar 360 on the top floor, it’s a huge contemporary terrace which has unrivalled views over Liverpool and the River Mersey, I can’t wait for you to see it.

Serving real Italian food as it should be, the menu really does have something for everyone. Check out my new lounge bar as well, it serves one of the biggest selections of Prosecco, sparkling wine and Franciacorta in the UK, with over 30 varieties for you to choose from. Pop by for a drink after work or enjoy one or two while you dine, the choice is yours.

The restaurant is big but the staff were welcoming and friendly and as we were celebrating a special occasion we received a bottle of Prosecco, which was an unexpected treat! The food was generally good, but the portions are big. Sadly, our adult daughter’s pasta carbonara was really disappointing. However, the sharing plate starter of cheese and meats was very good, would do for 3/4 as a starter, sea bass and chateaubriand mains were really good and the panna cotta dessert a perfect consistency. Our server was pleasant, but not great. We asked for water 4 times and a bar menu 3 times, but he did arrange to remove the cost of the inedible pasta course. All in all we had a great evening, but there were some inconsistencies in service and food quality.

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Food delicious and beautifully presented. Alfredo was extremely helpful and friendly. Ambience of the restaurant was relaxed and refined.

Never been to this restaurant before and received an offer so thought would try it out. Absolutely brilliant. From the wonderful staff, excellent food, which was great value, and the stylish decor. Now top of our list of places to eat. We also love Skybar

Looking forward to our meal but felt let down by the slow service and portion size of one of our mains. To add to this we were overcharged on drinks that we did not have. The overall service could have been better but the bar service was dire. Ordered drinks when ordering the with meal but they did not arrive until we had nearly finish it. We could see the bar staff clearly just standing talking to each other so it was not down to volume of orders. When they finally arrived I ordered more say jokingly ‘perhaps these will arrive before dessert’ they did not, then to cap it all there were drinks charged on our bill that we did not have. Now if all of that was not bad enough the portion size of my lasagne was tiny and served void of any veg or salad just a drizzle of pesto and a hard parmesan crust on top. Truly the worst main I have ever had! Not the experience we were expecting and will never return.
