Real Italian food, as it should be!

It’s a beautiful modern open plan restaurant with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Old Hall Street. Talking of skylines, you have to visit 360 Sky Bar on the top floor, it’s a huge contemporary terrace which has unrivalled views over Liverpool and the River Mersey, I can’t wait for you to see it.

Serving real Italian food as it should be, the menu really does have something for everyone. Check out my new lounge bar as well, it serves one of the biggest selections of Prosecco, sparkling wine and Franciacorta in the UK, with over 30 varieties for you to choose from. Pop by for a drink after work or enjoy one or two while you dine, the choice is yours.

    One of the most magical times of the year, Gino D’Acampo Liverpool is inviting guests of all ages to experience the excitement of meeting Santa. Sit back and relax whilst the little ones rejoice in meeting the man himself and get the opportunity to take an all important picture and receive a gift at the exclusive event on Sunday 8th December from 11am. £20 per child - includes soft drink in Skybar, story time with Santa, photo and gift to take home followed by 12pm lunch in restaurant. (Please specify name, age and gender for gift) £25 per adult - includes a glass of Prosecco or a beer in Skybar followed by main course from our lunch/ early evening menu in the restaurant at 12pm.     My partner ordered a fillet steak and asked for it medium rare, when arrived well it was basically still alive, so we asked for it be cooked longer and my partner then asked for it to be medium well this time (which the waiter confirmed with us, we waited for the second one to arrive and when it came back again he cut it open and it was still completely raw on the inside, naturally he wasn’t happy and decided he couldn’t be bothered asking again. The waiter came over when he saw it hadn’t been eaten and said “what’s wrong with it now” and my partner replied I asked for it medium well and it’s the exactly the same as last time, obviously annoyed now as he was hungry and it was our anniversary, the waiter then said that is medium rare which is what I have on the ticket and my partner responded I asked for it medium well the second time which you confirmed and it’s come back still breathing again. Overall the situation wasn’t handled very well at all and although they took it off the bill, we won’t be going back.

    A fabulous experience! The food and drink were delightful aswell as the amazing building.The sky bar was stunning! The only one thing was when I made the booking I had made a note saying it was my 50th birthday but nothing seemed to be acknowledged.I didn't mention anything in the end and didn't want to make a fuss.

    Booked a table for lunch my daughter’s 18th. The idea was a day shopping in Liverpool with lunch to celebrate. First of all, it’s a good walk from the centre which doesn’t make it easy to nip in for lunch and then carry on shopping. Just for info incase anyone else looks to book for this reason. I added in the comments (special requests) in the booking that it was my daughter’s 18th. Unfortunately there wasn’t any acknowledgement during our meal of the reason for our celebration and I found the whole experience very formal. I would just advise you to read the comments when someone makes an online booking. I wasn’t expecting special treatment, but even a happy birthday would have been nice. No conversation at all from the waiting staff. When you go for a meal, the experience is every thing. I have previously visited your Leeds branch and the service knocked out socks off. Energetic and chatty staff. I’m afraid your Liverpool restaurant majorly lacks in atmosphere and charm. Very disappointing

    I bring my Sister & brother in law from Ireland each time they visit us in Liverpool. The only slightly aspect was the Tiramisu as there was too much cream & no flavour or sponge seeped in booze as we had expected from an Italian Restaurant.

    Dined here as part of the hotel package. We stayed half board celebrating my boyfriends birthday and got 3 course meal and breakfast Evening meal - food was lovely, the only thing that let this down was our sever. We opted for the 3 course set menu, which looked really good. Until it arrived. Starters were spot on, no fault there. Desert was gorgeous - they even wrote "Happy Birthday" on the plate, which was a nice touch. Only thing that was missing was the ferrero rocher (which was the only reason I opted for the cheesecake) it was also my desert, not my birthday. So this was given to my boyfriend for asthetics and so another server could sing 'happy birthday' to him. Desert also came without cutlery, so my boyfriend ate his galeto with a fork we had to punch from the next table, as our server had disappeared. On to the mains. We should have realised this when looking at the menu, however as food normally comes with potatoes or chips, or something, we didn't really think about this. We both opted for the chicken dish (can't remember what it was called, but the only chicken dish on that particular menu) and it basically came as butterflied chicken breast and a few strands of green beans, in sauce. Now the menu doesn't state it comes with potatoes (or anything to accompany the chicken) so can't really "complain" however, it would have been good for our server to mention this, or ask if we'd like to order a side of chips or potatoes etc to go with, to make the meal more than a bit of protein. Me and my partner both found this quite funny, so wasn't really that bothered. Especially as we had starters and was having a desert too. Just think the server missed an opportunity to upsell and bring some more money into the business - which we'd have gladly spent, as we we're spending there anyway on drinks. She also didn't know we got a complimentary drink too. Overall great night, comical. Would definitely go back - thanks!! :)

    This was our first visit to Gino’s, and we had a great experience. The young waiter from Almeria was friendly and attentive, making sure we were served quickly and efficiently. For starters, we had the Antipasti alla Gino, which offered a fantastic selection of breads and cured meats. Our mains were the Linguine Vongole, packed with a generous amount of clams, and the sea bass, which, while slightly dry, was still full of flavor. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning.

    Waited over 1 hour for starters of olives,garlic bread and a bruschetta. When we questioned was told it’s busy what do you expect, then approx another hour (just under) to be served over cooked pasta, burnt dry chicken (no advice from waiter it did not come with anything) other people that arrived after us were fed and on way out, we left after 2.5 hours realistically just eating our starters,. Yes manager was apologetic after some time but what a disappointing celebration dinner, now after 10.35 we left hungry and deflated.

    Table service was poor and some waiters/waitresses unattentive. Thankfully at the end of our meal we did have one young waitress that started to pay us attention but thought this may be because they wanted the table back for the next customer. We kept asking for service. Food was great as usual. Tiramisu was very dry.
