I’m so excited to announce the third restaurant in partnership with hotel giant Melia, is Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street.

It’s a beautiful modern open plan restaurant with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Old Hall Street. Talking of skylines, you have to visit Sky Bar 360 on the top floor, it’s a huge contemporary terrace which has unrivalled views over Liverpool and the River Mersey, I can’t wait for you to see it.

Serving real Italian food as it should be, the menu really does have something for everyone. Check out my new lounge bar as well, it serves one of the biggest selections of Prosecco, sparkling wine and Franciacorta in the UK, with over 30 varieties for you to choose from. Pop by for a drink after work or enjoy one or two while you dine, the choice is yours.

Great place for a date night, portion size for some dishes are small for the price, however quality is incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed!

We visited Gino last night it was a fantastic atmosphere food was amazing staff were great the only thing I forgot to do was the offer never mind I will come again

Great atmosphere and setting. The restaurant is large meaning that there is plenty of space between tables. The staff were attentive but not too much. The food was delicious but I feel that the pizza and pasta dishes are a little overpriced.

Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had out- we were all really disappointed. The calamari had been cooked in oil that could not have been hot enough for it to be so greasy and lack crisp- we refused to pay for it. The tomato garlic bread was nice. The mains - the carbonara was awful and was sent back. The lardons in it were not crispy more grisly fat and needed to be cooked longer. We were told 5 mins but it took much longer such that we had to leave for the theatre before it came out. The king prawn fettuccine with pesto was not good either. The prawns and tomatoes were good but the pesto was too oily and lacked taste. I know that pesto is an oil based sauce but it doesn’t need to be like that- even my son left some of his and he’ll eat anything. At this point there was no point in complaining again. The margarita pizzas were passable. So all in all a huge disappointment for the 7 of us on my mother’s birthday. I have heard others say they have had a nice meal there so maybe this was an off night. I marked one star for value as given the quality it was hard to do anything else. I’d be happy to pay the prices if the standard was there.

Empty restaurant as to be expected on a Thursday afternoon…. Food average at best…. Nothing special…. Wouldn’t go again

Food was ok but nothing special. We were there on a Monday night and was quiet, maybe better ambiance when busy. Sky bar 360 was lovely and cocktails were very good.

Had to wait nearly 30 minutes between starters and main. Had to ask how long mains would be and when they did come it was tasteless. We have been here many times and always have the same meal. We told.the server and the main courses were taken if the bill. Disappointed this visit.
