We went to Gibson’s for a birthday dinner. The portions were huge and delicious. It started with homemade bread like Grandma’s. Our service was phenomenal! They treated us so kindly and made my husband’s birthday special.

The service was outstanding!! From the perfectly timed flow of the meal, the care and suggestions from the server team, and the kindness from the server helping to box up any leftovers- all top notch and 5 stars. An ordinary Tuesday night was transformed into a celebration.

I’ve dined at Gibson’s quite a bit over the years and unfortunately won’t be returning again. They’ve gone over the top on price gouging and the steaks weren’t as high quality as they used to be. It was my wife’s birthday and she was looking so forward to the flavorful and juicy filet she’s had many times in the past. Her first steak came out overcooked and so flat it looked like it had been butterflied, but wasn’t. She had to sincerely ask the server if it was in fact a filet mignon. The second one they brought out was better, but still not the outstanding quality Gibson’s had been known for, and the same for my rib-eye which was so-so. And the prices!!!! Where do you get off charging $87 for the Chicago Cut, a steak that had been $55 for the longest time. What, the $65 then $75 step-ups weren’t enough for you?! The filet has also gone up at the same rate. If you think you can use the price of cattle as an excuse, how do you explain the price of the Chocolate Mouse Pie which has doubled to $25 in a relatively short period of time. My wife refused to patronize any more at that point so she skipped out on one of her favorite desserts on her birthday. Very disappointed that Gibson’s is buying into the corporate greed that continues to cripple our society.

Our server was so wonderful! We don't get to go out as a couple as often as we like, and it was a wonderful experience.

Overall a nice experience! The kitchen got the crusts on the steaks wrong so they had to be sent back, but it was all taken care of within a couple of minutes. We thought the restaurant was a little loud, but it was nice to be in a crowded place. The only real complaint is that the Valet seemed a little chaotic...it was unclear to whom the ticket should go in order to get the car back. All good in the end.
