My friend and I went there on a Saturday at 11am for brunch. We were seated at a table upstairs and requested another considering that there was a birthday party celebration next to us. Without any questions our request to change tables was immediately granted without fuss and we sat downstairs. The brunch was lovely (picture worthy) and delicious. We will certainly return.

Fabulous lunch and great service! Portions are a bit small but I would rather have small and delicious than bigger and not so great.

Simple and delicious. Everything is exactly as it should be. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in a welcoming restaurant. Decoration is simple. Service is impeccable. Food meets expectations. We enjoyed the beef tartare, grilled octopus and the salmon. The desserts were also tasty: cheesecake and creme brûlée. I appreciated the thickness of the crest on the creme brûlée; it was a pleasure to break it. We will gladly go back.

Great food and service. No rushing and comfortable setting made for a great morning to catch up with friends. Looking forward to our next visit.

While the actual food is good, the serving sizes have been cut in half. The portions were laughably small and the service was nonexistent. With many other great options for brunch, I can’t imagine I’d ever go back.

Absolutely spectacular. The beef tartare is absolutely superb! Staff are fantastic. James was our waiter this time and he is always brilliant. Adjusts to the crowd and in this case it was a business dinner. While the knowledgeable about the wine and the food. He was also kind enough to let us close the joint when we were still busy talking. Another Ottawa Beckta masterpiece

Gezellig has become our go-to restaurant in Ottawa. Beautiful menu, delicious food, delightful cocktails, warm and friendly staff. We enjoyed a celebration evening for our firm's 30th anniversary and cannot imagine having done so in a better setting. Thank you.
