Geppetto is located within The Lexington, at Cambridge Crossing.

Drawing from his love of Northern Italian food, Chef Gilson will bring the flavors and feasts from Italy to our modern, dinner only restaurant. Ingredients of the dishes will highlight the farms, fishers, and foragers of New England. Guests can dine on composed platters of cheese, cured meats, and small bites to start their meal. Housemade pastas, local seafood, and fresh butchered meats will be the highlight of an evening at Geppetto - all concluded by desserts from one of the city’s leading pastry chefs, Brian Mercury.

Join us for a dinner with Crystal King, author of In The Garden of Monsters, The Chef’s Secret, and Feast of Sorrow, which was long-listed at the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize and designated as a MassBook Awards Must Read. A social media and AI professor by trade, her writing is fueled by a love of history and a passion for the food, language, and culture of Italy. We'll celebrate her new book with a special menu from Chef Will Gilson showing tribute to her new publication, In The Garden of Monsters. Each ticket includes a signed copy of the book. An optional beverage pairing will be available night-of.

food took 40 minutes to come out, both pasta dishes were under cooked, and the service was very inattentive.

This was our first time dining at Geppetto and we were excited to try it as we’d walked by many times and seen them making fresh pasta. Unfortunately our experience did not live up to our expectations. First the bathrooms — unkept at best which was not a good start. Second the service — it was okay but a beat off. Third the Focaccia — great bread which was ruined by grilling it. The grilling resulted in a burnt flavor that masked the delicate flavor of the bread as well as the lovely bean dip served with it. Finally the main course which was far more enjoyable — we both ordered the bolognese and the pasta itself was exceptional. The sauce too was very good but be prepared as it is very Thyme and Rosemary forward which could be off putting to some and honestly should be toned down. I’ll also offer a smaller issue — the menu on the website was not the same as what were offered in the restaurant and did not have the steak, pork chop, or sea bass (among other things) we had planned to order. This is an easy fix and should be addressed. We will likely not be returning which is unfortunate as we live in the neighborhood and had hoped this might be a “go to” place for date nights.

Generally, the food is well prepared. Not especially inventive, but the quality is good. The service was good if a little bit, overly attentive at odd moments and not attentive when it should’ve been the restaurant gets loud.

This is such a cute restaurant! The food was fantastic and the service was very attentive. Lots of good gluten free options.

We each had selections from the menu and shared the dishes with each other. They were all delicious, although if I were to go back soon I’d definitely have the blossoms, the caponata with Buffalo mozzarella and the scallops. No room for dessert!

The two hostesses were lovely and super helpful. The food was delicious and our waiter full of great suggestions about the menu. Would definitely suggest for great food and a great time.

Food was excellent! Service was slow, and the waiter did not have much wine knowledge. He made poor recommendations because he pretended to know.

Had an amazing experience. Our server Brian was very nice, attentive, and accommodating. It was not too loud so we were able to hear each other talking. Decor was tasteful. Food was excellent
