Fish Friday was very good value. Delicious fish and chips, great service, polite, friendly and not intrusive. Busy vibe but prompt service.

Lovely surroundings to sit and eat. Staff very attentive. Menu catered for various tastes. Only downfall was the specials board I ordered pie with mash and mixed vegetables very disappointed when arrived as it was chopped new potatoes with just cabbage. Waiting staff should have explained that when I ordered it.

A lovely hot summers day sitting in the lovely garden, eating the most delicious food. The staff never forgot we were out there, and were very attentive. I will definitely go back, the food was lovely, and for, I think the only time ever, we got a really good amount of jus with our pork belly.

Booked last minute and first time dining at the George.Staff all friendly and attentive plus Sunday dinner was delicious.Highly recommend and will be visiting again.

The staff were lovely and the atmosphere brilliant but the food was absolutely amazing. I honestly think it's the best roast dinner I have ever had at a pub!

Super friendly, helpful staff. Lovely Sunday roast with large children’s meals. Good beer. Great classic English country pub.

Uncharacteristically the George had quite a few of the menu choices as being limited in number or not available at all. No alcohol free beers available either, and only large bottles of sparkling watrer which was a bit of a blow when you're the nominated driver. Fish was ok, but not as good as we've had in the past. Perhaps it's because it was a Tuesday. Will definitely still visit, but perhaps will avoid week days.
