This traditional, local pub offers a fresh, seasonal menu coupled with local craft beverages, all of which can be enjoyed in our rustic, country setting. Our alfresco courtyard is the perfect oasis for any passing visitor or returning local. We came for a belated Father’s Day celebration meal. We ordered 4 of the small starter plates to share. Particularly Loved the Arancini & tempura veg. Our mains were al excellent. I had the trout which was perfectly cooked. Several ordered puddings & were all very happy. The pub was nicely busy but not noisy. Service was attentive & friendly. Overall we had a great time & will definitely be back.

The food was nice but was probably expecting it to be better. It took around 40 mins to get our food, which was challenging with 2 small children. Once we had our food, the servers checked on us several times, which was annoying as we were trying to eat. But didn't bother to let us know that our food was coming or ask if we needed anything else. It would have been more enjoyable if our kids had been fed sooner.

Fabulous surroundings, made to feel very welcome. Good choice of food, well presented and great taste. Would definitely return on next visit to the area,

The service and food were both very good. My friend and I were served quickly and the server was very helpful when my friend asked a question. We will definitely be returning within the next 6 weeks or so. Good food, good value and polite and friendly staff equals a great Sunday lunch and catch up.

We had a lovely tasty meal and it was great to see lots of tempting things on the menu. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. We will be back 😀

Wanted to book a nice place to eat to celebrate my new job. It already had good reviews, and isn't too far from home. The food was excellent, well prepared, and plenty for a meal. The staff were polite and attentive, but not intrusive. And there was no 'rush' to get us in and out so another table could come in. Might be busier on Friday or Saturday night, but I really enjoyed my experience.

We were sat in the bar area which was pleasant. Service was attentive and friendly. The wait for our meal seemed a little lengthy as we were hungry! But actually not a long wait. Both had beer battered fish and chips. The batter crispy and the fish tasted fresh. Skin on chips could have been a little softer and a few more would have been welcomed. Enjoyable meal. £1.10 for a splash of Lime cordial seems a little excessive… beer well kept.
