Wonderful experience! EXCELLENT food and service with Tony P, our waiter. He was spot on and extremely attentive. Place is a classy, old school restaurant.. Definitely will be back.

I arrived nearly an hour early and since it was not (yet) too busy, they seated me immediately. The hostess and waiter made me feel welcome and important. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious (though just a bit salty) and the beverages were terrific! It's been a while since I was in Chicago - visited G&G's last time as well - and this is a favorite place that deserves return visits every time I'm back. Thanks to all!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

G&G has been our go to for years if people want to really get a taste of what a true historic Chicago steak house is and the service you'd come to expect from a business that's been in business for this long. From entering the doors it's like going back in time to a period when service was key and amazing food was the standard. The menu is amazing with historic staples, Chicago favorites and new / fresh specials added daily. No detail is overlooked by the staff and an enjoyable evening is guaranteed for everyone. Do yourself a favor and come into G&G the next time you're looking for a great experience, in town for the weekend or just looking for a trip a restaurant that has been a pinnacle of Chicago's restaurant community for year.

Me and my husband booked a dinner reservation to take my sister out to dinner for her birthday. We went on a Thursday at 7:30pm and it was packed. We were promptly seated at 7:20pm when we arrived. The cocktails were fantastic - we had the elderflower and the old fashioned. We ordered a few apps, sides, entrees, and desserts but the standout items were: grilled oysters, filet mignon, mashed potatoes, mussels, and the turtle cheesecake. At the end of the meal they brought out a special dessert with a candle on it for my sister and sang happy birthday to her. The staff was professional, friendly, and funny. Our waters were constantly refilled and we never had to ask for anything.

Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time! Food was top notch! One of the best Ribeye Steaks I've ever had.
