Gekkō is a japanese-inspired steakhouse and lounge from the minds of groot hospitality’s david grutman and the recording artist bad bunny.

Located in miami’s thriving brickell neighborhood, gekkō immerses patrons in a fusion of elevated steakhouse surroundings with the modernity–and precision–of japanese cuisine. Signature dishes include premium steak cuts, jaw-dropping sushi inventions, and delicious seafood appetizers. A bespoke cocktail program, an extensive wine list and bottle service offerings complement the menu.

Gekkō’s aesthetic is lush, luxe and jewel-toned. With design accents like custom wallpaper, dark and rich palettes and hints of soft golden light, the restaurant transports visitors to an intimate, rare nocturnal world. As it happens, the word “Gekkō” itself translates from Japanese to English as “moonlight.”

Honestly, service was terrible. Food came in the wrong order, server was not attentive to the table whatsoever, had to repeatedly ask for a server for simple things, they spent more time talking to each other right next to us. Not really checking in effectively, or providing a good table.

Amazing food and really cool vibe. Service was mediocre. We also had a reservation and had to wait over an hour to be seated.

We had reservations for 9:30 pm and in the way it was raining so there was traffic so we call the restaurant to let them know that we where running about 30 minutes late so they move the reservation to 10:00 pm when we got there we where told that we will have to wait about 20 minutes so we when to the bar and spend about $300 dollars in drinks 30 minutes later i when to ask for the table we where told that we where next that they where yest waiting for a table so i said ok so i waited 20 more minutes and when and ask and they said no table yet so i when and walk the sitting area and i soo a table for 4 living so i told them about it and the said that we will be seating in about 5 minutes 10 minutes when by so i when to see in the dining area if the table was ready only to see that they separated the 2 small tables and set 2 different couples on the table and i realized that one of those couples got there about 30 minutes after me how i know this course when i came to ask for my table they where putting their name with the host at that point i ask for a manager a guy name william came to talk to me and i explained to him wat was going on and that it waft my daughters anniversary and that we where so desapointed and he said he was going to handle the situation so to make this story short we waited about and hour and a half to get a table even tho we made a reservation and put a credit card to be able to make it the food came out cold but at that point we where not going to ruin our celebration any more and decided to yest eat it like that and move forward after dinner we decided to go to the clubs bar only to be mistreated by a bartender name Raul so we yest got so disgusted with this place and left horrible experience i will never send anyone also to that place for sure if you need to contact me this is my number 305 3322100

The food was delicious! It was a great experience overall. We did have to wait over 40 min to get a table inside, but it was worth the wait. The dulce de leche dessert like lava flow was amazing as well.

Muy buen lugar , se Come muy rico . Lo único que tengo para decir que no se respeta la reservación, tuvimos que esperar 50 minutos para nuestra mesa., en eso fallan ., después todo muy bien

The food was great , the ambiance was super nice even though they had issues with the air conditioning. The drinks were fantastic and our waiter was super friendly.

They brought us three of our food items before our drinks ever arrived. And they did not care about that at all. The drinks should’ve been comped at that point.

Great experience, definitely a next visit. Recommend to have the meal then enter to the bar area. Vibes at the bar started after 1 am.
